The sun was almost setting. The search was still on. The cave they were told Silion camped in was empty. Smart of her, she did not leave any evidence that would suggest she was ever there. She had this military intelligence that had Arvin's men wonder if it ran in the Beasts' bloodline.
Silion was aware she was being tracked. Having lived in the forest for a decade, she was keen on her environment. She could point out danger from even the smallest signs.
Just above the cave, there was a little forest,at the peak of the hill. They both climbed on a tree as they witnessed the warriors search for them tirelessly. They could easily tell where the warriors were from as they had golden cloaks. Golden cloaks only meant they were from the king's guard and so they were of high intelligence, other than being sent by the king.
If they were sent by the king, then someone must have learnt they were still alive. Okay, Josh would only serve as collateral but Silion...
A king in Bernbute would want to finish the job. Of course, clear out all the Beasts' bloodline, that's if he would wish to maintain power comfortably, having killed the king himself and his heir and wife.
" Who is the king?" Silion whispered to Josh. It was getting dark and they were getting exhausted of holding on to a tree. Their hands felt like letting go but they endured regardless. Silion's hands were turning red and sore and her feet started shaking. She looked down from the tree. It was a long way down, a little error could prove to be life threatening, if not fatal.
Josh was silent for a while. His heart was beating loudly. A stream of sweat raced down from his temple. His skin grew pale and paler and his mouth dried up. He tried to answer but he also did not know who the king was. It would not have hurt for him to say he did not know but he could not get the words out of his mouth.
Silion stared across to where he was, wondering what had gotten his tongue. At times she felt Josh was arrogant and rude, traits he never had before he saw her nakedness. Every time she saw it like that, she remembers every life-lessons her mom would impose on her every afternoon. The lessons had this perception of the human psychology, more so of men, that once they get what they want then they chase after what they don't have and disregard the other.
Slowly, she felt as if they were drifting apart and she was losing her patience. She loved him, dearly, but at what cost? Her love for him had ruined her relationship with her only sister and the only family she had for a very long time. The same sister whose lessons have made her aware of the environment and how to best survive.
Josh's grip around the branch of the mahogany tree loosened by the seconds. He was getting heavy, even for himself. Silion was so lost in her head that she didn't even see. Josh threw up, almost losing his grip and balance. It was then that Silion saw how miserable Josh was. He was losing his consciousness and she had to do something.
She decided to come down from her tree and so in a fair struggle, she got down from her tree and tiptoed to where Josh was. She had to make him come down safely from the tree and also look out so that they were not attacked or abducted by the 'golden cloaks'.

Nira stood at the window. The town was awfully quiet. No one was out in the streets. Only the howling of wind and eeriness of silence filled the air. Hansen sat on the chair, admiring Nira's behind view as he smiled ear to ear and licked his lips greedily. He was hard from the view. His emotions were not betraying him. She was beautiful and most definitely tempting.
She turned around unexpectedly meeting the hungry eyes of him behind her. She stared at him for a while, studying every aspect of his body. Hansen stared into the floor with embarrassment. He knew what he had gotten himself into. He was sure she could even castrate him for it, even if he felt he did nothing wrong. All in all, the ball was definitely in her court.
She walked to him and held him by his chin, making him face up to her.
" You like what you see, huh?" She teased softly. It was like she was trying to get him aroused even more. She licked her lips as if seducing him and before he knew, he was flat on his back on the floor. The beautiful frame of her stood above him, her foot between his thighs. He did not know how to feel exactly so he did not resist. A part of him had him hope for the best, ignoring all the possible negatives she was capable of. He was vulnerable on the ground, even if he was not aware of it.
She was selfish with her beauty and body and...
Every other man or woman that dared pry on her like a sexual toy had their eyes out of their sockets, castrated or worse, tormented by her worst gifts until they beg for death. She was not biased so Hansen was surely getting punished for his misconduct.
She took out a dagger hidden under her upper body garment and lifted it in the air. She stared at him. Her face was easy but her soul wasn't. It itched for blood, in as much as her heart tried to control it. Hansen stared at her wondering what she was doing. He was still lost in her eyes when she held him against the floor and her dagger on his throat.
She stared down at him for a while then she raised her right leg. Slowly, she rested it on his manhood. At first, she did not exact any unbearing pressure, until she did and Hansen had no other choice but to make his first sound in her presence, forgetting all about masculinity and endurance. His tongue was almost coming out from his mouth, his throat burning with every scream. His eyes were welling so he shut them. Every time he moved even a little bit, the dagger went through his flesh. It made him stay still, screaming until he couldn't. It was then that she stopped torturing him and moved away.
They had a connection, but not a full connection. Not like hers and Caleb.
Caleb and Nira had a strong connection. He not only had it with her but also with her torments and everything. The whole Nira- package adored him, even if her mouth could not express the words.
There was a time in the forest, before their separation in the hands of the Wilds, they had gone for a bath. She went to the river first and coincidentally, Caleb went too. The rule was whoever got there first had the last laugh and no man was allowed at the river with a woman during baths.
Caleb had wished to walk back to their camp. He had walked into a beautiful sight to behold. Nira was inside the river, her back to him. The currents were calm and the river was flowing smoothly. She was yet to see him. Her back was perfect, he had imagined. Even though her lower body was submerged inside the river, her upper back was visible. Her pale skin glimmered brilliantly with the setting of the sun, giving a touch of a warm golden glow. Then, her hair was dark and long and tightly attached on her skull. Her hair was wet and her back glistened with droplets of water, giving a touch of serene natural beauty.
He felt something harden between his thighs. His heart was filled with both desire and panic, were she to notice he was there, it could turn pretty ugly. He carefully turned around, ready to walk back to the camp. Before he could take a step, she was behind him, her footsteps echoing with the crushing of the leaves. He tried to move but the thought of her eyes on him made him glued to the ground.
She got to him and stopped.
" Turn around!" She whispered. Her warm breath caressed his ears as his body flashed with intimate feelings. He became weak and shy at the same time. His consistent composure was expelled with every second her breath hit him.
Before he knew it, she was in front of him, staring deep in his eyes. It took him a while to raise his head up but he eventually did. Her green cold eyes were rather burning with warmth and intimacy. It is like she wanted him to see her and to feel her, to hold her even.
" You were looking at me, what stops you now?" She asked him immediately he locked eyes with her. He was breathing heavily, as she was. His eyes were fixed in her eyes but all he could see was her lips. He stood mute for a while then he cleared his throat.
" Save me from this!" He whispered.
" Save you? From what?" She exclaimed her eyes eager with what he had to say. She was still wet and nude and in front of him, her hair cascaded on her back. She noticed his body reactions, something that pleased her, even though she was used to make her preys feel the same way everytime.
" Your eyes, I am afraid of them!" He said softly, his eyes lost in hers. It is like his words did not have any meaning. She smiled softly as he raised her hands and wrapped them around his neck.
" They are not the things you should fear!" She whispered to him, her face getting closer to his.
" You torment people with them..." He stated, gathering more confidence as his hands tempted him to hold her in them.
" You should fear our hearts, they are poisoned!" She said ignoring his concern over her eyes.
It was getting darker as the sun further sank into the clouds . Nira was yet to let him go. Her body was drying up and even closer to his. Her bosoms rested lazily on his chest, getting him even much aroused. They were of the same height although Caleb later grew taller. His boner scratched on her, with lust and hunger riveting it on her soft skin.
" Poisoned?" He asked, trying to maintain his composure.
" You are the end of me, and I you! Our hearts, we can't give to each other!" She explained, trying to be as nonchalant as possible, withdrawing from him. She stood still for a while looking deep in his eyes.
" As for my eyes, they know it best not to hurt you, but either way you shouldn't stare that long!" She said staring away from him.
Their hearts were surely poisoned. That moment stuck in their memories for a life time. A couple of days later, Caleb had to pay the price for staring at her for that long, and lucky enough, he managed to stay alive after a serious attack by the Wilds.

Silion was still trying to figure out what was happening to Josh. She was down from her tree and she walked to him carefully not to alert the army outside the forest. She stared up at him, standing next to the mess he had made from the tree. She stared into his vomit and saw some drops of blood. Her heart almost stopped. She stared up at him concern all over her face.
Something was wrong with him and she had no idea. She first had to get him down safely from the tree. As she stood confused under the tree trying to find a solution, the warriors were getting closer and closer and the next thing she saw was darkness as she collapsed to the ground. Josh stared down at her helplessly.
He witnessed as the two men carried Silion from the ground. His eyes were blurring and... shut!
The king's army arrived at the scene, a fraction late but somehow on time. Josh was unconscious on the tree and he rolled over but before he could hit the ground, he was caught by two warriors who had collaborated to save him. He was lucky they even saw him since the sun had already set and it was suddenly dark after Silion's abduction by unknown men.
