"You can't run away from me, Morgan!" shouted Jake.
Filled with confidence, Jake jumped ahead and drove his spear forward. Not only he, but all the students from the Cobalt dorms charged to Jake's aid.
Morgan watched their attacks carefully and cautiously. The young man continued to dodge, depending on the rapid response of his mind and eyes. Occasionally, Morgan raised his hands to create defensive magic.
"Weak magic!" snapped Jake.
[High Magic: Storm-breaking Lance Swing]
Jake continued to wield his spear diagonally. Sometimes, he also pointed the tip of his spear ahead to stab at Morgan's defense. Morgan still defended by putting forth his best strength, both hands stretched forward to protect the defensive magic.
Not only Jake but also the other students were directing their magic attacks to Morgan's defense. The combined power of rank four and five magic arcana students was enough to overwhelm Morgan.
[They are concentrated before you. You have to make them scatter]
'I got it,' Morgan explained silently.
The right hand continued to hold his fire dome while Morgan's left hand began to chant a high level of wind magic to break their concentration.
[High Magic: Swish of Eagle's Wings]
A magic circle was cast before Morgan's left palm. Instantly, the sky turned dark with a wind tornado appearing from behind the crowd. Two tornadoes drove strongly to the front, leaving a slight space for the students to escape.
The magic managed to shatter their formation, to Jake's surprise. He stopped the attack to look back, seeing the students blown away by the tornado's vortex pull.
"Damn you, Morgan! You're still hiding a lot of secret skills!" snapped Jake, annoyed as he pointed the spear back at Morgan's fire dome defense magic.
"This is only the tip of the iceberg," Morgan explained.
'They're shattered. You can start, Morgana,' replied Morgan.
[I know.]
Morgana came out of her disappearing magic mode and appeared with a swift movement. A pool of magic energy accumulated in Morgana's right palm, then unleashed it on every Cobalt dorm student she met.
The magic attack created a small explosion that sounded like a barrage of small bombs. Jake turned around, seeing students from the Cobalt dorms injured and unconscious, with a dark purple magic aura filling their bodies.
"What the hell are you doing?!" snapped Jake, furious to the point of turning his mind insane.
Morgan realized his mana was running out. His left hand took the carmine blue gem from the bracelet and crushed it instantly. Through his mouth, a stream of blue gem power flowed into Morgan's body.
"Tch! Using any means won't make you win from me," Jake explained.
The young man visibly stopped his attack, driving his spear into the ground with both hands extended forward, revealing a sizable magic circle.
Morgan jumped far back, noticing that Jake was about to launch an attack that would probably be his ultimate magic attack. His magic circle spun clockwise as his mouth babbled a particular enchantment.
Morgana, as she was killing the students, sighed as she realized a powerful bundle of energy was gathering on the spearman's body. Morgana returned near Morgan quickly, staring firmly ahead.
"This is dangerous," Morgana explained.
"He's planning to use absolute magic," Morgana interrupted.
"How can absolute magic be this powerful?" asked Morgan, confused.
"I don't know. Only he knows," Morgana explained.
Morgana glanced back sharply, looking at Morgan, who was still not doing anything to deal with Jake's power.
"Use two of your best high-level magic from two different elements. That should help handle this attack," Morgana said, the young man near her nodding.
Morgan's palms unfolded simultaneously; magic circles appeared above his palms in different colors, and they kept spinning.
Jake laughed loudly at Morgan, who dared to attack his absolute magic, which had been inherited from his family. Not a single enemy had ever survived such an absolute magic attack.
"Even if a servant helps you, you won't survive this attack!" threatened Jake.
His magic circle flew into the sky and grew larger as time passed. Appearing from within the magic circle, a spear with a large golden blade was pointed at Morgan. Morgan widened his eyes, not expecting such absolute magic.
"MORGAN!" shouted Morgana, snapping Morgan out of his reverie.
Morgan shook his head briefly, then pointed both magic circles upwards towards the spear with the wind element.
[High Magic: Sky Meteor Parade]
[High Magic: Spear of Spinning Wind]
Two magic circles appeared before Morgan, both of Morgan's hands still focused on balancing the power of his two magics. Jake was seen puking up blood, the impact of a deficiency in his absolute magic.
[Warning!]
[Mana capacity reduced to near minimum limit]
[Mana recovery needed immediately]
'Casting high magic from two different elements at once is enough to drain my mana capacity,' replied Morgan.
Morgana continued to pay attention to Morgan's condition. The young man was unlucky to meet someone with mysterious abilities like Jake. However, if Morgan could withstand Jake's absolute magic, then Morgana was sure Morgan's abilities could progress further.
"Bring it here, Jake!" shouted Morgan.
"You're finished, Morgan!" snapped Jake.
Both of them unleashed their finest magic in this battle. Morgana was still near Morgan, helping the young man if he failed to withstand Jake's absolute attack at any time.
A clash of three magics took place in the sky of the Colossal Forest. Lightning and thunderous winds could be seen as far as the eye could see.
Adeline and Parker, who were in the hiding place of the Viridian Dorm, also saw the rumbling of magic in the area where Morgan and Jake were believed to be fighting.
"This trembling, it's definitely the fight at the Instructor stage," explained Tobias, appearing in a light blue suit, looking up at the black sky.
"Let's go help Morgan. He's gonna be hurt badly in this fight," Adeline pleaded.
Tobias nodded. Not alone, but he took five other students with mark 5 leaving with him. Adeline and Parker also went as the ones who would show the way to Tobias and the others.
At the battleground, Morgan felt an intense pressure on both hands. The pressure came from Jake's absolute magic power. The longer Morgan blocked it, the more painful his hands became like his bones were broken.
"I will not lose to you!" shouted Morgan.
Morgan's palms joined together and created a magic circle of two colors, green and red. Not only did the color change, but the magic attack's size and shape were different.
Now, dozens of wind spears surrounded by meteor rocks lunged forward to resist Jake's absolute magic power. Jake screamed even though he was severely injured. Morgan was the same; he could not lose to Jake.
"HYAAAA!"
The explosion became so powerful that it created a red ball due to the magic clash. Jake fell to his knees, then vomited blood with a pale face. His reddened eyes were still staring at Morgan.
Morgan's uniform sleeves were torn to shreds, his hands also seemed to evaporate as if they had been burned by something. Morgan fell to his knees, his breathing ragged as warnings of his low mana capacity continuously appeared.
'If I hadn't used the absolute magic inherited from the family, I would probably have died at his hands,' Jake explained.
Morgana stood still and appeared from the darkness. Getting a precious opportunity, Morgana drew her black dagger to slash Jake's neck immediately.
"You're dead!" declared Morgana.
CLING!
Morgana's black dagger was halted when a man with white armor and a long spear blocked Morgana's attack. Jake and Morgan looked in that direction, the appearance of the man with the armor made Morgan sure it was a servant.
"Servant!" complained Morgana.
"You're lucky to have a great master like him," explained the man, pushing Morgana's body with his magic power.
"Who are you?!" snapped Morgana.
"That's not important. My job is to guard Jake as ordered by my master," the man explained.
"So, he's not your master?"
"His father is my master."
Jake fell unconscious with unsteady breathing. Morgan took the necessary precautions by taking a recovery potion. Although he only recovered briefly, he could rise to his feet.
"The fight is over! He lost. Leave the black pouch to me," Morgan ordered, holding a hand.
"The other task given to me is ensuring he passes the exam. I can't hand it over to you," explained the spearman in armor.
"Then, I have no choice but to fight you," declared Morgan firmly.
As Morgan was about to walk forward to attack the man with the armor and spear, Morgan's steps were stopped again when he fell to his knees, completely drained of energy and unable to continue the fight.
The man of armor picked up a black pouch belonging to another group from the Cobalt dorm. He threw it over to Morgana, where she immediately grabbed it.
"Take it as compensation. Don't come after me if you don't want to die!"
The servant carried Jake's unconscious body and led him away from the fight location. Morgana handed the black pouch to Morgan, but before Morgan could take it, the young man fell into a faint.
"Oh my," Morgana complained.
She looked to the side, the aftermath of Morgan and Jake's magic clash, which had caused parts of the forest to be destroyed and the trees to fall. A terrible fight for an academy student.
"You're really troubling me," Morgana replied.
The woman reached out her hand towards Morgan, taking the man with her magic. Now, Morgan left by flying in the sky while carrying Morgan by his side.
Since it was dangerous enough to let Morgan stay elsewhere, Morgana brought him back to the small cave where the group was hiding.
Adeline and Parker looked at the sky, a woman flying in a dark red light. Adeline's eyes clearly saw Morgan's figure near the woman.
"It's Morgan!" declared Adeline. The students decided to follow Morgana.
Lilia and Albert still looked anxious near the waterfall pool. Nancy occasionally calmed them down by saying Tobias was on his way to the battle location.
"That rumbling. I'm afraid something happened to Morgan," revealed Lilia.
"I should go there to help him, even though I know it would be suicide!" insisted Albert.
As Albert tried to leave, he was stopped when he realized a woman had landed near the waterfall pool. Morgana landed roughly, causing a cloud of smoke to rise up. Nancy swung her arms to the side, blowing the dust away.
Lilia and Albert saw Morgan lying on the ground, his clothes damaged and his condition faint. Albert also noticed the presence of the woman beside Morgan, standing in a sexy black rose-patterned dress.
"W-Who are you?" asked Albert.
Tobias and the group of Viridian students came again near the waterfall pool. They surrounded Morgana as they didn't know who Morgana was and why she was helping Morgan.
A magic aura appeared on every student who surrounded her, which annoyed her and sent out a powerful magic aura in the form of a circular air wave. Anyone hit by the wave would be pushed away, and the magic aura faded.
"Wh-What happened?" asked Adeline, feeling her magic aura weaken.
"You're 1000 years too early to be arrogant toward me!" complained Morgana.
Morgana's presence faded as time passed, "Morgan just fainted. You heal him for me."
Now, Morgana's figure completely vanished from the place. Lilia walked over to Morgan, feeling Morgan's body temperature warming up with weak breaths.
"He's hurt badly. I can feel it," Lilia revealed.
"Adeline," Tobias called out, sparking Adeline's attention.
"Take him to our place. Let Alice treat him," Tobias said, and Adeline agreed.
"Parker, bring some people to the fight. See if there are any black pouches left there. If there is anything, let me know immediately with a magic message," Tobias ordered, Parker agreed.
Tobias, the leader of the Viridian Dormitory, was still looking at Morgan's body with both eyes narrowed.
'He's messing with the wrong people. The Brighton family won't stay silent,' Tobias stated.
'But fighting with Jake to create such a magic rumble. Who exactly is this Morgan?
