Yan Renzhong leaned against his pillow. A soft sigh spilled from his lips as he stared at the white ceiling above his head.
"First and foremost, I need to prioritize Yaya's well-being. The way she is, she should not stay with Xiaoling at all. I am going to claim full custody over her."
Shen Jingwei leaned closer and stared at Yan Renzhong.
"If you do that, you risk burning off all the bridges between you and Xiaoling. Are you sure you want to proceed?"
"Yes."
Yan Renzhong's eyes shone with determination.
"In return, I will refrain from filing a criminal lawsuit against her. Naturally, I do not plan to take Yaya away from her completely. She is welcome to see her at agreed times, but she should not stay with Yaya alone. I do not trust her anymore."
"I don't know if that's the best course of action," Shen Jingwei pointed out. "What if Yaya is against it? After all, Xiaoling was the one who took care of her for the past three years."
