Valeria stormed toward the chamber's entrance. Her footsteps echoing with ragee and her jaw clenched tightly. Her entire body radiating anger and frustration that if anyone was nearing her right now they would cower and shiver.
She shoved the door to open wider with a rough push, her eyes narrowing as she stepped inside.
The scene before her was grim. Nox's lifeless body lay sprawled on the cold stone floor with his head severed from his body. Blood pooled around him, staining the ground a deep red.
Valeria approached quickly with her expression still full of anger. Her eyes cold as she stared down at the corpse.
She felt no sympathy for Nox because she had never liked him. His death in this brutal manner brought her no grief. She even felt a sense of relief because this irritating creature is dead.
But she now realized that a crucial part of her plan had just crumbled.
