Later that day…
The sun was setting. The sky was bright orange with a few shades of pinkish purple. Jason was leaning against a large tree on a hill. On top of it, he saw the walls that surrounded the kingdom and what lay beyond it. He could see massive mountains across the horizon as well as the massive forest that surrounded the kingdom. The view was beautiful but Jason felt that it was also limited. He couldn't see what the mountains were like or what was in the forest. All he could do was wonder and imagine.
Jason: If I become an Apex Guardian, I could see even more. How big is this world?
Girl: I often wonder about that too.
Jason: I know the kingdom is big in general but after a while, it can feel a little-
Girl: Cramped?
Jason: Yeah exact-
Jason paused as he just realized he was talking to someone. He turned to his right but didn't see anyone.
Girl: Up here.
Jason looked up to see a girl poking her head out from the tree branches and leaves.
Girl: Hi!
Being startled, Jason fell and landed on his behind. The girl giggled and gently floated down from the tree top. As Jason saw the girl's blond hair glimmer and flutter as she floated down, he realized that she was the same beautiful Blue Electren he saw back at school. She was wearing the same blue-collar shirt and frilly dark blue mini-skirt she wore when Jason first saw her.
Girl: You okay?
The girl reached her hand out to Jason as a means to help him up. Jason blushed a little as he was embarrassed for falling and quickly stood back up on his own.
Jason: Y-yeah, I'm fine.
Jason hesitated at first but then held his hand out.
Jason: I'm Jason by the way.
The girl took Jason's hand and shook it. She smiled at him with a very friendly yet elegant expression.
Girl: I'm Carly. It's nice to meet you.
As Jason and Carly locked eyes, Jason started to notice that he was looking up at her while she was looking down at him. He then realized that Carly was quite taller than him which made him feel nervous. After they stopped shaking hands, Jason backed up a little to not invade her personal space.
Jason: So uh, what brings you here?
Carly: I was just free-flying when I saw this tree and wanted to climb it.
Carly leaned closer toward Jason out of curiosity. However, this made Jason even more nervous and shy.
Carly: Hey, I've seen you before! You got tackled by that one girl the other day!
Jason looked a bit embarrassed as he was reminded of that incident.
Jason: Oh yeah. That would be my sister.
Carly: You looked like you got hit hard.
Jason: I did but I can take it.
Jason then smacked his chest to prove it. It made a blunt thump sound.
Jason: I'm a Yellow Electren after all. We are built tough.
Carly (impressed): Wow.
Carly then floated around to the left of Jason. Some of her long hair brushed against Jason's chest. Jason stood still as he was unsure what was happening.
Carly: Must be cool being able to bulldoze your way through things and just shake off being attacked.
Jason: Well it's not that simple. I may be durable but it's not like I'm immune to pain.
Carly looked surprised as she wasn't expecting that.
Carly: Really? It sure looks like you guys are.
Jason: Yeah we just learn to deal with it.
Carly: Still, with power and durability like yours, you can do anything you want or even go anywhere you want.
Jason: What about you? You're a Blue Electren. You can fly over those walls and never look back.
Carly gave a smile.
Carly: Don't you think more Blue Electrens would be doing that if it was that simple?
Jason was confused as he felt there was something he wasn't getting.
Jason: Huh?
Carly looked over towards the walls that surrounded Tempion.
Carly: The whole kingdom is surrounded by an invisible barrier. It keeps invaders from getting in but it also keeps us from getting out.
Jason looked over to the wall Carly was looking at.
Jason: I didn't know. Never really tried to climb the wall.
Jason then looked back at Carly.
Jason: Still, you have the whole sky to live around in. Meanwhile, I'm stuck on the ground.
Carly looked back at Jason and gave a mischievous grin as she was up to something.
Carly: You wanna be unstuck from the ground?
Jason looked confused.
Jason: Huh?
Carly: Turn around.
Jason hesitated at first but then turned away from Carly as she told him to. Carly then reached from behind Jason and held on to him. This made Jason blush and become very shy as the pretty girl was now hugging him from behind.
Jason (nervously): Uh, w-what are you doing?!
Carly: Clench your buttcheeks!
Jason (confused): What?
Carly suddenly flew up in the air at extremely high speeds whilst carrying Jason in her arms. A loud boom followed as she broke the sound barrier while taking off. As Carly was flying through the air, Jason was keeping his eyes shut and holding on for dear life. His senses were being overwhelmed by the loud booming sound Carly made when she took off as well as the sound and the feeling of the wind bombarding him in the face.
Jason (panicking): L- Let me down!
Carly looked down at Jason to see him closing his eyes and holding onto her arms tightly.
Carly: Are you scared?
Jason (panicking): Yes! I've never done this before!
Carly (reassuring): Just open your eyes and look! Trust me!
Jason decided to take a chance and open his eyes. As soon as he did, he saw something that made him not want to close them again. Jason saw the entire kingdom stretching out for miles. He was in awe of the beautiful kingdom. All the houses and buildings that seemed like they were built randomly were in reality perfectly aligned with each other. He could see the citizens walking across the road that all connected in different lines. The whole kingdom was like a completed puzzle. And at the center was the castle that rose from all the other buildings. From the ground up, it looked like it was reaching the sky but from where Jason and Carly were, it was a different experience altogether.
Jason: Holy shit!
Carly: See? It's quite the view!
Carly then flew the castle at astonishing speeds. She then went up above the castle. She hovered above the very top of the enormous castle and above the tall towers that appeared to emerge from it. They both looked over towards what lay beyond the borders of the kingdom and the forest that surrounded the kingdom. Flat plains across the lands along with mountain ranges that stretched across the horizon.
Jason: Wow!
Carly: See? It's amazing, isn't it?
Jason: It Sure is.
Carly: And look over there.
Jason looked over to a part of the mountain range where a massive ravine was seen.
Jason: A ravine?
Carly: Yeah, there used to be a large mountain there but I heard some idiot blew it up.
The word "idiot" stabbed Jason in the chest. He felt guilt and embarrassment as well as shame as a result of this girl unintentionally calling him an idiot.
Jason (nervously): Y-you don't say.
Carly didn't seem to notice Jason's change in tone and was still gazing at the endless horizon.
Carly: One day, I wanna fly across the stars into the vast space!
Jason: You wanna go into space?
Carly: Hell yeah!
Jason: What for?
Carly: Our world is massive but it's also small if you think about it. I wanna see what lies beyond the stars. Our universe is massive. And who knows what's even beyond that!
Jason: Beyond the universe? Like, another universe?
Carly: Yeah! Just endless space to fly around freely!
Jason (thinking): Wow, she's quite adventurous. Still, we don't even know each other. Why is she being so chummy with me?
Jason looked around and noticed a large cloud formation slowly heading towards their way.
Jason: Looks like rain is coming.
Jason suddenly felt Carly tighten her grip. He could hear her begin to breathe slightly harder as if she was becoming exhausted. He looked up at Carly and saw her skin was turning slightly red and her eyebrows were starting to quiver as she was straining.
Jason (concerned): Is something wrong?
Carly (straining): I-I'm sorry, I didn't notice it before but…. You're pretty heavy.
Jason's eyes widened as he realized Carly was losing her grip. He looked down and saw how high up they were.
Jason (slightly worried): Okay, just carefully float down to the ground.
Carly started to descend slowly to the ground when suddenly Jason slipped out of her grasp.
Jason (yelling): WHOA!
Almost instantly, Carly grabbed the hood of Jason's hoodie to stop him from falling.
Carly: I'M SORRY! JUST HANG ON!
Jason breathed a sigh of relief for a second when suddenly he started to slip through his hoodie.
Jason (panicked): OH GOD!
Jason grabbed onto his hoodie before he could slip through. Carly held on to his hoodie desperately.
Carly (panicked): WAH!!
Jason: Just hold on!
Jason looked around and saw one of the tall towers that was connected to the castle.
Jason: Take me over there!
Carly floated carefully towards the tower whilst Jason was hanging on. Suddenly, Jason lost his grip and fell.
Jason (screaming): AHHHH!!!
As Jason fell, he landed on the side of the tower and grabbed onto it. He dug his fingers into the stone wall with shocking strength. He breathed as he managed to avoid falling. Carly, who was still holding Jason's hoodie, floated down to where Jason was hanging.
Carly (worried): Are you okay?!
Jason (shaken): I-I'm fine!
Man: Hey Miss, this is a no-flying zone!
Carly and Jason looked up to see two armored men standing on a balcony above them. They both were holding long spears with metal tips at the tops. They were covered in gray metal plating that was all over their body. They also wore helmets that covered their entire head and had a horizontal slit opening for them to see. Like what a traditional knight would wear.
Carly: I'm sorry but he's stuck! Can you help him?
The knights looked at Carly with their heads tilted slightly as they seemed confused. From their position, they could only see Carly. They then looked down from the balcony to see Jason hanging onto the side of the tower. They backed up seemingly startled by the discovery.
First Knight (surprised): How the?!
Second Knight: Young man! Just keep holding on! We will get you some help!
Jason looked down for a moment. He thought about how hard the impact would be if he fell from the height he was at.
Jason (thinking): I could probably take it.
Jason then looked back at the knights.
Jason: I think I can land safely.
Second Knight (panicked): No, don't jump!
Jason: It's fine. I'm very durable.
Second Knight: That's not what I mean! You're a Yellow Electren right?!
Jason (confused): Yeah? Why?
Second Knight: I thought so. I know you can endure a fall from this height but think of the damage you would cause if someone as heavy as you hit the ground from this high up!
Jason (insulted): Heavy?!
First Knight: How did a big guy like you even get up here?!
Jason (insulted): Big?!
Carly: That was my fault. I'm sorry.
First Knight (shocked): You carried him up here?! How have your arms not ripped off?!
Jason was growing angrier with the knights' constant comments about his weight.
Jason (insulted): Can you guys stop talking about my weight?
Second Knight: Let's not get distracted! Call emergency support to get this kid down! As for you.
The second knight pointed towards Jason.
Second Knight: Let us know if you feel like you are going to lose your grip. The last thing we want is for your fatass to fall through the castle.
Jason's face turned bright red and his face felt hot as he exploded with anger.
Jason (angrily): OKAY THAT'S CROSSING THE LINE!
Carly looked at the knights with an angry face. Her cheeks puffed up as she pouted with her arms crossed over on her chest.
Carly (angrily): What kind of knight mocks someone who is in trouble?! That was uncalled for!
The first knight looked at his partner. While his face was hidden in his helmet, it was clear that he didn't like what the second knight said as he was pointing right at him sternly.
First Knight (angrily): What the hell was that?! Why are you mocking the poor kid?!
Second Knight (angrily): You were doing it too!
First Knight (angrily): No I wasn't!
Second Knight (angrily): Yes you were!
First Knight (angrily): Even if I was, which I wasn't, that doesn't make it okay for you to do it!
Second Knight (angrily): THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!
As the two knights were arguing, the storm clouds that Jason saw earlier passed over the kingdom and rain began to fall. As water poured off of the walls of the tower, Jason started to feel himself slip.
Jason (panicked): Hey! I'm slipping! I'm slipping!
Carly looked at Jason and then looked at the knights who were still arguing with each other.
Carly (yelling): He's slipping! Hey, he's slipping!
Jason started to slide down the tower. He tried to retain his grip but the water from the rain made it extremely difficult. Carly quickly tied Jason's hoodie's arms around her waist and then flew towards Jason to try to help him. She flew underneath him and tried to push him up so he regained his grip.
Carly (straining): Come on!
Jason looked up and saw a segment of a brick that was sticking out a bit of the tower. He then grabbed hold of the brick and held on tightly.
Jason: Okay I have a grip! Get the knights!
Carly flew up towards the knights who were now pushing each other and arguing even louder.
First Knight (angrily): WHO DO YOU THINK YOUR TALKING TO?!
Second Knight (angrily): I'M TALKING TO YOU! I'M TALKING TO YOU!
As the two knights walked up to each other with their faces inches apart they stared each other down, Carly grabbed both of the knights' heads from the back and slammed them together. A loud clang sound echoed as the knights' helmets slammed into each other. They then glared at Carly angrily.
First Knight (angrily): ARGH! WHAT THE HELL?!
Second Knight (angrily): AHH! WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!
Carly (angrily): HE'S GOING TO FALL IF YOU DON'T HELP HIM!!!
The knights looked over the balcony to see Jason further down from before.
Second Knight (panicked): Shit! God damn it!
First Knight: I'll go for help!
The first knight was about to leave when the second knight grabbed his arm to stop him.
Second Knight: There's no time! Get some rope! We will pull him up ourselves!
Thunder could be heard roaring from a distance. The first knight gave the second knight some rope. It was black colored and appeared to be new and strong. The second knight then turned towards Carly.
Second Knight: Miss, could you tie this around the boy?
Carly: Sure!
As the second knight was giving Carly the rope, Jason suddenly saw his own body begin to emit yellow sparks on its own. He looked up at the stormy sky and saw flashes of light. His eyes widened as he realized what was going to happen.
Jason (to himself): Oh shit.
As Carly was about to fly down to tie the rope around Jason, a bolt of lightning came crashing down from the sky. It struck Jason and engulfed him in electricity. The force of the lightning made Jason lose his grip and he fell.
Jason (screaming): AHHHH!!!
Carly (panicked): JASON!!!
Second Knight (panicked): CRAP! HE FELL!
First Knight (panicked): WHAT?!
As Jason plummeted towards the roof of the castle, he landed on the side of the roof and started to roll into a ball. The electricity that Jason was engulfed in started spinning around him into Jason turned into an electric swirling ball.
Jason (panicked): WHOA WHOA WHOA!!!
Jason rolled down the rooftop until he rolled off and crashed into the castle. Meanwhile, inside the castle in the throne room, there was a heated argument between a noblewoman and Marquee Henry. Onlookers were watching from above in the balconies while King Leon was watching with a disappointed look on his face, from his throne. His maid, Sam, was standing by him still maintaining her poker face. The noblewoman wore a bright blue dress that reached to her. Her hair was a sliver white which were tied into pigtails that dropped on each end of her shoulders which appeared to be padded with stuffing. Her skin was bright and clear and her lips were puckered and red. She also had a beauty mark on the right side of her chin.
This woman was glaring at Marquee Henry with an angry expression. However, Marquee Henry had a tiny sinister grin while stroking one side of his mustache.
Henry: I still fail to see why you're so angry at me, Baroness Sofi.
Sofi (angrily): You slapped my behind!
Henry: And it's just as I keep saying, I never touched you.
King Leon (thinking): This happens almost every week. It's so exhausting.
Henry: Do you have proof that I did it?
Sofi (angrily): I saw you do it!
Marquee Henry then grinned.
Henry (grinning): And you expect people to believe the words of a lowly baroness? Don't make me laugh!
Baroness Sofi became even angrier. Her face turned bright red.
Sofi (angrily): You sleazy scumbag!
King Leon: Baroness Sofi, calm down! And Marquee Henry, you are to refrain from antagonizing!
Marquee Henry turned away from Baroness Sofi and walked towards the middle of the room.
Henry: If I'm as big of a scumbag you claim to be.
Marquee Henry turned around and faced King Leon. He spread out his arms to present himself.
Henry (continuing): Then let god strike me from where I stand!
Suddenly, Jason Steel came crashing down from the roof of the throne room still spiraling out of control. He landed right onto Marquee Henry and electricity and dust shot up in the air from the impact. Everyone in the room was startled by the sudden blast.
Sofi (screaming): AHHH!!!
King Leon (exclaiming): What in the world?!
Knights began rushing towards the arena of the impact. The rain started to pour from the hole in the roof. As the dust cleared up, there was a large hole in the ground where Jason fell. Slowly, Jason crawled out of the hole and stood up. He stumbled around a bit as he was dizzy from the spinning. His eyes were closed as he rubbed the top of his head as he was hurt. As he opened his eyes, he saw the knights pointing their swords and spears at him. He quickly put his hands up in the air, not wanting to start anything.
Jason (panicking): Whoa! What the hell?! What did I do?!
Baroness Sofi looked closer at Jason.
Sofi (to herself): Isn't that…
King Leon stood up and looked at Jason. His eyes widened as he recognized Jason.
King Leon: My word! Jason?!
The knights turned around at King Leon. King Leon looked back at them and waved his arm to signal to them.
King Leon: Let me see him.
The knights stepped back to allow Jason and King Leon to see each other. The two locked eyes with each other. Jason then had a big grin.
Jason: Oh, hey King Leon.
One man from the sidelines yelled at Jason.
Man (angrily): Kneel you fool!
Jason stopped and then realized what the man meant. He was about to do as the man said when King Leon stopped him.
King Leon: No, no. It's alright.
Jason stood back up and King Leon walked down from his throne towards Jason. Sam followed behind him. Meanwhile, the nobles were looking at each confused as they didn't understand why King Leon would allow Jason to approach him so casually.
King Leon: How did you end up falling from the sky?
Jason rubbed his head awkwardly.
Jason: Uh, it's a long story.
Marquee Henry slowly crawled out from the hole. He had a big lump on his head from where Jason hit him. His nose was dark purple as it was bruised and blood was dripping down from it. His clothes were messed up and dirty. Some of the knights walked over to him and lifted his arms to help him back on his feet.
Knight 1: Sir, Henry! Are you okay?!
As Marquee Henry got back on his feet, he rudely pushed the knights away.
Henry (angrily): Don't touch me!
Marquee Henry then stomped towards Jason who was looking away from Marquee Henry and towards King Leon. He then angrily tapped Jason's shoulder. Jason turned around to see the beat-up Marquee staring at him angrily.
Jason: Whoa, are you okay?
Henry (angrily): No I'm not thanks to you falling from the sky!
Jason: Oh crap! Did I fall on you?!
Henry (angrily): OF COURSE YOU DID YOU MORON! I OUGHTA HAVE YOU THROWN INTO THE DUNGEON! KNIGHTS, ARREST THIS FOOLISH CHILD!
The knights paused and then looked at each other in confusion. Marquee Henry turned around and looked at them angrily.
Henry (angrily): What are you, deaf?! I told you to arrest this child right now!
Jason (defensively): Look I'm sorry for crashing on top of you like that but it's not like I did it on purpose!
Henry turned back towards Jason and viciously pointed at him as he hissed at him.
Henry (angrily): Quiet you filthy peasant!
Jason (insulted): Why is everyone making fun of me today?!
King Leon (calmly): Marquee Henry.
Marquee Henry turned towards the knights, ignoring King Leon, and angrily pointed at them.
Henry (angrily): Knights! That is an order!
King Leon (sternly): Henry Dollains!
Marquee Henry paused as he was startled by the king's booming and demanding voice. He turned around, now nervous.
Henry (nervously): Y-yes, your majesty?
King Leon: You need to call down. First of all, this young man just so happens to be Jason Steel.
The other nobles watching from the side and the balconies gasped and started muttering to each other. Marquee Henry paused and looked towards Jason. And then looked back at King Leon.
Henry (shocked): You mean this boy is-
King Leon: Yes, he is the son of Cynthia Steel. Who in fact, ranks above you in nobility.
The crowd of nobles continued muttering to each other. Marquee Henry glanced back at Jason. His eyes aggressively focused on him.
Henry: So you're Jason Steel. The son of that bitch Cynthia.
Jason suddenly turned towards Marquee Henry and glared at him with an angry expression.
Jason (threatening): Call her that again, and see what happens.
King Leon (sternly): Jason!
Jason turned back around towards King Leon.
King Leon (calmly): Mind your tone, please.
Jason took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He then looked back at Marquee Henry with a calmer yet agitated expression.
Jason (seriously): Don't call her that.
Marquee Henry rolled his eyes and looked back at the king angrily.
Henry (angrily): Regardless, this is still an act of assault! I demand a punishment for this brat!
Jason (angrily): What part of "it was an accident" are you not understanding?! I fell off the roof!
Henry (sneering): Likely story! You were probably eavesdropping on the earlier conversation and decided to tackle me into the ground! There's no evidence that it was just a mere accident!
Jason: You can't be serious right now. That is ridiculous.
Henry (angrily): I know many people who would want to assault someone as important as I am!
Jason (defensively): I don't even know who you are!
Marquee Henry's face turned bright red as he was insulted by the remark. He marched closer towards Jason and glared directly at him.
Henry (outraged): I'M MARQUEE HENRY DOLLAINS YOU DOLT!
Jason covered his ears as Marquee Henry was yelling directly at him. He then gave him an unimpressed expression.
Jason (nonchalantly): Never heard of you.
Marquee Henry's jaw dropped as he was shocked by Jason's response. The rest of the nobles as well as King Leon started laughing out loud. Meanwhile, the knights from earlier who were trying to stop Jason from falling ran in. They looked at where the commotion was centered to see Jason as well as the king who was laughing out loud. Unknownst to the knights, Carly was quietly floating behind them, trying to not let herself be seen. She was holding Jason's hoodie in her arms. She peeked behind one of the knights and saw Jason. She then breathed a sigh of relief seeing that Jason was unharmed.
As Jason was looking around at the other nobles who were laughing, Marquee Henry's face grew dark red as he got even angrier. He then reached for Jason's curly hair.
Henry (angrily): NOW LISTEN YOU!
King Leon saw Marquee Henry reaching for Jason's hair. His eyes widened in shock and panic.
King Leon (exclaiming): NO, DON'T PULL HIS HAIR!
However King Leon was too late and as Marquee Henry grabbed Jason's hair, he gave it a sharp tug. Time seemed to have slowed down as this was happening. Jason winced as he felt his hair being pulled. Sparks began to emit from his hair and suddenly Marquee Henry was hit with a burst of electricity.
Henry (screaming): AHHHHH!!!
Marquee Henry fell to the ground, burnt, and singed. He coughed up a bit of smoke. The nobles gasped as they had stopped laughing and were now shocked by the sudden attack. One of the knights helped Marquee Henry back on his feet who was still dazed from the powerful electric attack. Jason on the other hand was rubbing his head where Marquee Henry pulled on his hair. He looked uncomfortable and agitated.
Jason (angrily): Don't touch me!
Henry (weakly): You… little brat…. How dare you…
King Leon: I tried to warn you. Young Yellow Electrens like Jason can instinctively zap you if you attack them even if it's as minor as a hair pull. It can be especially devastating if they are a lot stronger than you. Marquee Henry, your son is a Yellow Electren as well and a very powerful one just like Jason here. You should've known this.
Henry (frustrated): Arrrr…
King Leon: Back to our original discussion, you claimed that there is no evidence that Jason fell on top of you by accident. But, one could say that there is no evidence that he did it on purpose.
Henry (shocked): No evidence?! Your majesty, how can you explain him landing directly on top of me as right after my statement?!
King Leon shrugged his shoulders.
King Leon: Coincidence probably.
The maid Sam, who was standing behind King Leon, stepped forward.
Sam: Perhaps Master Jason is the god that struck down Marquee Henry for being a scumbag.
The nobles erupted in laughter. King Leon laughed as well. Sam, however, maintained her poker face and did not react. Jason looked around confused as he didn't understand what was so funny. As Marquee Henry was growing angry again, King Leon stopped laughing and held his hand up, signaling to the other nobles to stop laughing.
King Leon: Now then, I know of a way to clear up this ridiculous situation.
King Leon suddenly tilted to the right and looked at where the two knights were standing. He then pointed in their direction.
King Leon: You there! Young lady!
Everyone looked towards where the King was pointing. All they could see were the two knights who were standing there confused.
King Leon: Yes you. The one hiding behind those knights. I know you're there. Come on out.
Slowly, Carly stepped out from behind the knights. The knights jumped back as they didn't know she was there.
First Knight (whispering): We told you to wait outside!
Carly (nervously): B-but I…
Second Knight (whispering): You can get in some serious trouble for coming here unannounced if you're not a noble! You can even be arrested!
Carly (shocked): What?!
King Leon (calling out): Young lady. If you would please come over here.
Carly nervously walked towards where the king was. The nobles from the sidelines and above at the balconies started muttering to each other.
First Noble: What is a commoner doing here unannounced?
Second Noble: The nerve of that girl! She should be arrested!
Third Noble: I didn't even know she was there. How did the king know?
As Carly walked past Jason, without batting an eye, Carly handed Jason his hoodie and continued towards the king. As Carly stood before King Leon, she took a knee and bowed to be respectful.
Carly: Your majesty, I am sorry to have-
Sam (interrupting): Commoner, you will not speak until the king has permitted you.
Carly went silent. King Leon then looked towards where the nobles were.
King Leon (calling out): I don't want anyone else talking during this! Understand?
The nobles nodded their heads. Marquee Henry and Jason stayed silent. King Leon then looked toward Carly.
King Leon: You are permitted to rise.
Carly stood up and gazed at the king.
King Leon: I will ask you a series of questions. I want you to answer them truthfully.
King Leon then looked towards Sam and pointed towards her.
King Leon: Sam here is very good at telling if someone is lying or not. If you lie, you will be arrested. Understand?
Carly: Yes, your majesty.
King Leon: What is your name Miss?
Carly: Carly Love.
King Leon: What type of Electren are you?
Carly: I'm a Blue Electren.
King Leon: You were flying above the top of the castle were you not?
Jason looked nervous as he was afraid Carly was going to get in trouble.
Carly (nervously): Yes, I was.
King Leon: Did Jason fall through the castle roof intentionally or not?
Carly: It was not intentional.
Marquee Henry suddenly glared at Carly and hissed.
Henry (angrily): OH THAT'S A LOAD OF-
Before Marquee Henry could finish, Sam's usual poker face suddenly shifted to an extremely angry face full of malice.
Sam (angrily): SILENCE!
Sam's voice echoed through the hall. Everyone felt the intensity of her raw anger in her voice. Marquee Henry took a step back and went quiet. Sam's face then returned to her usual poker face. Carly was shaking in fear as Sam's sudden rage caught her off guard.
King Leon: My apologies Miss Carly, that must have been very startling. Please be aware that Sam is only doing her job.
King Leon then looked towards Marquee Henry with a very intense expression.
King Leon: I've been tolerating your outbursts for a while now but you are starting to test my patience. Not one more word Henry.
Marquee Henry said nothing and instead nodded. King Leon then looked back at Carly who had calmed down from the frightful outburst.
King Leon: What made Jason fall?
Carly: Jason lost his grip when it started raining and then he was struck by a bolt of lightning.
King Leon: How did Jason get up there in the first place?
Carly (hesitating): I- I took him up there. It was all my fault, your majesty.
Jason (whispering): What are you doing?!
Sam glanced at Jason, still maintaining her poker face.
Sam (sternly): Be quiet.
Jason went quiet in response to Sam's orders.
King Leon: One more question, why did you take Jason up there?
Carly: I wanted to show him what it was like to be that high up since he can't fly like I can.
King Leon stood there in silence. He looked over to Sam who gave him a nod. He then looked back at Carly who was nervously sweating. King Leon then looked towards the other nobles.
King Leon: You are all permitted to speak freely!
All the nobles started muttering to each other. King Leon then looked back at Carly.
King Leon: Based on what you've told me, I see no reason to charge you or young Jason Steel for assault. Accidents happen.
Both Jason and Carly breathe a sigh of relief. Marquee Henry looked very agitated but he stayed silent. They looked at each other in reassurance.
King Leon: There is the matter of the damages to the castle though.
Jason and Carly paused and looked back at the king.
Jason: What do you mean?
King Leon: Even though it was an accident you did damage a lot of private property. We can discuss the terms of what the two of you will be paying later.
Jason (disappointed): Aw man.
Carly sighed in disappointment.
Marquee Henry sneered at Jason.
Marquee Henry: Serves a little brat like yourself who is drunk on their power.
Baroness Sofi looked at Marquee Henry appallingly.
Sofi: Look who's talking! Your son is nothing short of a bully!
Marquee Henry turned towards Baroness Sofi and sneered at her.
Henry: Of course, you would say that! My son is the strongest warrior in the kingdom! Aside from that bitch Cynthia, no one comes close to his power.
Jason was about to lash out after hearing Marquee Henry call Cynthia a bitch again but he then pinched his arm to stop himself.
King Leon: I don't know about that now. Have you forgotten about young Jason here?
Marquee Henry turned around to look at Jason who was glaring at him. He then looked at King Leon.
Henry: What about him? Sure he is the son of Cynthia but my son has been trained by Cynthia personally!
King Leon then had a smug look on his face.
King Leon (bragging): Can he blow up a mountain? Because Jason did that last week.
Suddenly, the entire hall went silent. Jason's angry expression at Marquee Henry shifted into shock and disbelief towards King Leon. His face turned red not from anger but from embarrassment. King Leon looked around the hall to see everyone staring at him with their eyes wide open and their jaws dropped.
King Leon (confused): What?
King Leon then looked at Jason whose face was also bright red and his eyes wide open. He then covered his face with his hands.
King Leon (still confused): What? What's the matter?
Marquee Henry was also in shock and looked towards Jason who was trying to hide his face. He then looked back at the king.
Marquee Henry (shocked): HE'S THE ONE WHO BLEW UP THE MOUNTAIN?!
Carly was also in shock.
Carly (thinking): That was him?!
Sam then tapped on King Leon's arm to get his attention.
King Leon: Hm?
Sam: Your majesty, that information was supposed to be private. And you just announced it to all of the nobles.
King Leon's face fell as he realized what he had done.
King Leon (to himself): Shit…
Suddenly all the nobles from the sidelines and the balconies rushed towards Jason.
Noble (1): That was him?!
Noble (2): I don't believe it! Does he have that much power?!
Noble (3): Jason! I will allow you to marry my daughter!
Noble (4): No! Marry my daughter!
As the nobles were racing towards Jason, they were rushing right at Carly, Marquee Henry, and Baroness Sofi. Carly and Baroness Sofi flew up in the air to avoid the crowd since they were both Blue Electrens. However, Marquee Henry got run over by the mob.
Henry: AH! GOD DAMN IT!
Jason watched the nobles rush at him. He quickly looked around for some way to escape.
King Leon (exclaiming): KNIGHTS!
Suddenly, all the knights formed a circle around Jason to keep the nobles from getting any closer to him.
Noble (3): No! Let me see him!
Noble (4): Out of the way!
Noble (1): I assure you that my daughter is a very lovely young lady!
Despite the nobles trying to get through, the knights completely blocked them off from Jason. As Jason stood there, unable to figure out how to get out, Sam suddenly grabbed Jason's arm.
Sam: Please this way.
Jason: Wait, we are we go- AH!
Sam suddenly pulled Jason away with surprising strength and rushed into the hallway at the back of the throne room.
Meanwhile, as the crowd was still trying to get to Jason, Carly flew over back to the two knights from at the top of the castle who were watching the chaos unfold.
Carly (awkwardly): So, I'm just going to let myself out.
Second Knight (awkwardly): Yeah, you go do that.
