The crew turned up in Europe for Coral's graduation Ceremony. Since this is the place where vampires are more prominent, they will do what they can to protect her. As for coral, she didn't want to come with all that is going on and wanted to send a video speech for all of her classmates. Jackson however was against it for some reason and insisted that they go. Mike gave him a look but didn't comment.
Macy is scared that someone might try something on her so she's been on edge since they got there. She felt like she was being watched the entire time. Her family is in Europe but her mother moved to America after the fall out with that fake fated. Her mother knew that there was a faint chance of her having a fated which hence led to the decision she had taken. Her mother was a human from a large family known as guardians. They protected her father's secret.
" What time does the ceremony start and did you get enough tickets?" Luis asked.
" We get two mandatory tickets for family and i already got enough tickets for all of you. But it will be at the back with all the other extended family members." coral said as she fixed her long black hair.
" That is great. I can't wait to see you shining on stage like you always do" Macy gushed.
" " Thank you babe, i couldn't have done it without you. Next is Sally 's turn" Coral said.
" For me , i don't need a piece of paper to teach. I can teach wherever and whenever any time. Let's go or we might be late." Sally said as she ushered everyone out.
What they didn't know was that there was a group of vampires watching them closely . Mostly focused on coral and Macy. The tribunal came to check out Lincoln 's only daughter in numbers.Talia was also hidden and her breath hitched as soon as she lay her eyes on her. Although coral got her mother's features, she looks like a carbon copy of her father Lincoln. She could already imagine what she will look like when she matures.
During the years she was married to Lincoln, she wanted to have a daughter who looked just like her darling husband but was unsuccessful. Lukas was born with the help of a wizard. Although she loves her son, a daughter who would be considerate would have been lovely. They are not fated so the chance of having another child is very low. She couldn't help but wonder what it would have been like if she had raised coral as her own. She was raised like an orphan. Maybe if she had taken her in, her husband might still be with her if that woman hadn't deceived those idiots thinking that she was a mutt's daughter.
Lincoln also came but in disguise. It is a big moment for his daughter and he hoped his fated could see or feel what it's like being there during one of her milestones. Reality hit at that moment knowing full well of how much he had missed of her life. He of course saw Talia and the rest but decided to ignore her and them. She knowing that he was there might drive the psycho out of her.
He tried the trick his grandmother had shown him and tried to project what he was seeing to his heart knowing that his fated will also feel it and if possible, see or dream about it. She would have liked being here at this moment. From what he gathered from his investigation, she is also staying away from coral is because she's in the same predicament she is also in.
Their presence and identity poses great danger to Coral. Coral does indeed look like his late mother. He closed his eyes before taking out his camera and taking pictures to send to his father wherever he is. Luke has no luck in tracking him but he does read their encrypted emails and it's UpTo him if he wants to be involved in his granddaughter 's life. He hopes that he is okay wherever she is.
Anyway back to the event. Jackson and Jacob sat at the family area while the rest of the gang sat on the second floor benches. Although they aren't close, they can see the stage perfectly well. It seems Coral pulled some streams here. They did hear the conversation with Coral's classmates with their supernatural ears. They couldn't help but laugh knowing full well that Jackson could here them as well. Especially mike and Luis who were given an earful by their mates who heard what they said the other day.
They watched her as she walked the stage with three belts receiving a standing novation from her class. Macy looked on with a proud mother like smile making Sally roll her eyes. But Luis who was close to her eyes twinkle with undisguised pride. They all went to the reception area set up by the school for guests. They didn't know they had excess to it until a man came close to them and asked if they wanted anything.
" You can't be her husband" A boy with red hair took the lead.
" Well hello." Jackson the great actor showed great potential using the best manners there is out there while waiting for coral who was chatting with a few professors.
" Oh hi., Make i ask what your name is?" the boy asked seeing everyone in the room looking at him.
" Oh, my name is Jackson Green " Jackson said with a twinkle in his eyes.
" Thee Jackson Green?" the boy asked.
" Is there any other one you know of?" Jackson asked.
" No uhm , are you really married to the goddess?" the boy said nervously.
" I am married yes but who is the goddess you are talking about?" He said.
" Our school beauty Queen, the school 's darling. Coral Edwards " The said.
" I see , that is my wife. If you excuse me, my wife is calling me. What is your name again?" Jackson said with a light laugh.
" Oh uhm , my name is Arnold. It was very lovely meeting you." The boy said.
" It was lovely meeting you too. " Jackson said heading towards coral who wanted to introduce him to her teachers. The group on the other side saw his smirk and knew the reason why Jackson wanted to come here so badly.
The boy from earlier ran towards the middle of the room where a group of adults were standing. There was a man with blonde eyes who was crying and the others calming him down. The girls quickly pulled two and two together. They often visit coral here and know the situation with that man having a crush on Coral.
The tribunal council saw the ceremony and left after seeing Coral. Those with male children had a twinkle in their eyes. They didn't see a mark on her shoulder so that man should be a nominal husband to make do or something is what they thought not the possibility that Jackson and coral had covered it up since she didn't have a tattoo when her classmates last saw her. It being on the neck will increase their impression of him so he hid it deliberately.
Seeing the achievement Coral achieved made some of the vamps on the tribunal feel jealous. Their kids are typical spoiled rich kids. They don't have anything other than winning fights on their records. If coral grew up in their society, they could already imagine how much honour she would have brought them.
Jackson sensed a malicious aura directed at coral and protected her. He was about to cast a spell when a more powerful aura clashed with that one. He grew concerned as well as Jacob who was near by but they didn't want to stress or alert coral on her big day. He gestured to him and Jackson took it as a sign to take her out of there and Jacob will stay behind to explain.
After spending time in Europe on their honeymoon, the two decided to get back to the crew who were worried sick about them. They knew where they were because Jackson had already informed them but they still disapprove of it. With all that's going on and the fact that they are on that woman 's territory doesn't make it any easier. Macy kept pacing back and forth the entire time.
She even contemplated putting a tracker on coral just so she can know where she is and come to her rescue if she is in a dangerous position. She even thought of giving her father a call but that will just send her back to her misery. Her father is still under her grandmother's hands and nothing good comes out of hoping for anything from him. Mike just watched and refrained from speaking.
He knew that the main reason why Jackson decided on this last minute trip was because he was scared. He took felt that man's presence at the end of Coral's speech. He had felt a similar aura like that before during one of his trips here in Europe but that one was fainter. He was one of the elders on the tribunal council for vampires. Which means that whoever was there is stronger than that.
He also knows the reason why Macy is acting like this. Although the rest of them have cut ties with their pack, they didn't do that with Jackson meaning that they still acknowledge him as their alpha. And as a his beta, he has a connection to both him and coral after they marked each other. Mandy and Luis also felt it but didn't get the chance to address it with all that happened.
Macy here, is his mate. Making her the beta female. She has strong protective feelings to coral just like he has with Jackson. The fact that she's known Coral longer makes it harder for her. Sally has also been acting weird. The other reason why Jackson took coral was because she was being clingy. She was always where coral is as if it was her resolve to protect her. The same applies to Luis.
Jackson and coral arrived relieving mike of his worries. They went straight into packing their remaining stuff after apologizing profusely to everyone for their actions. Mandy saw a hickey on Jackson 's shoulder giving him a smirk. He rolled his eyes before wearing a hoodie on top of the vest he was wearing. The others did too but decided not to say anything.
" So do you think they noticed?" Coral asked as soon as they arrived home two days later.
" They noticed your evidence, not mine" Jackson said with a smirk knowing what coral was referring to.
" I am being serious here. I know Macy and Sally have been worried about me since they found out that i am pregnant. My pregnancy is not yet stable yet, what if something happens?" coral said what she's been thinking about all weekend long.
" I made sure to protect our little bean with a barrier last night and we weren't being overboard. We made love and connected on a deeper level than what we did when we first met. " Jackson said reassuring her. He was also concerned about their baby hence he did that.
" I see, let's get some rest. I am so tired. I don't I've ever been so tired before." She said.
" That is pregnancy for you. My mother was also like that when she was pregnant with with my late sister." He said massaging her head.
" I didn't know you had a sister " Coral commented.
" She passed a month after she was born due to a series heart defect. That is what drove my mother to the edge. " He said.
" I am sorry to hear that." She said.
" Don't worry about it. It happened ages ago and something tells me there is no heart defect. My mom was investigating it before she died. She told me that she went to all her appointments and everything was healthy plus the fact that she had a normal pregnancy through out. I think my father or his new wife had something to do with it " He said.
" Do you want to investigate it?" She asked him.
" For now, i don't want to. If i find a clue however will be a different case. That is also the reason why i want a daughter." He said with a smirk.
" Whatever we have is our kid idiot. Don't say that or i will have my hopes up. We will remain neutral until the due date, promise?" She said.
" I promise but you can't stop me from hoping. " He said with a grin.
" Why do i get the feeling that there is a story behind you not wanting a boy?" She asked.
" Oh, someone is calling me" He said before practically running out of there.
