Finding my seat was proven to be a difficult task. Since the game never showed us how to find the seat, the characters just plop onto the train and move along till the destination. But now it took me 5 minutes to find it. The train already started moving 4 minutes ago. I sat on the white leathered seat and I tapped on the bracelet on my left arm. This bracelet has some unique features, handed out by the Lumi academy to assist students in their 4 year journey in their academy.
The bracelet shows all the essential information. Including class ranks, name, a rank from the latest testing, year your in, and other features.

A holographic window that shows basic information about the user.
Student ID : Alyssa Valenheart
Age : 16
Year: 1st Year
School Rank : 1/2753
Class : S-1
Prowess : G
Talent Grade : B
Profession : Magican
'...'
Looking at the holographic window, I let out a hollow laugh.
School rank 1/2753? And also in the class S-1? This character has not appeared in the original novel nor the game. But to think this character or should I say my current self managed to achieve the first spot in the school ranking for 1st Years and also in the class S-1?
Calming myself, it appears that this character somehow took the rank 1 spot away from the main protagonist Ryder Valken.
But it is worrying since my rank is only G ranked, compared to other characters in class S-1, most of them have at least 1 Stat in the D ranks range, some even have a C rank stat rank.
Ha. This is insane.
Why in the world would I be transmigrated here as someone with a talent grade of B but also ranked 1st in the freshmans?
Crazy bastards.
The main protagonist or I shall simplify, a crazy ruthless man who literally don't give a fuck and chooses violence to solve his problems. The only reason I probably got rank 1 is my writing exam probably was considered near perfect. No wonder why.
But it's best to stay away from that crazy main character. Trouble always seems to follow that guy around.
But the good news is there is magic and skills in this world!
Who wouldn't be excited when there's literally magic here. Back on Earth, everything was dull for me. Food has lost its purpose after trying them so much. Alcohol and playing video games was literally the whole point of my life. My parents got into an accident when I was only 3 years old. My aunt took me in but never cared so I strayed off and ta-da! Here I am. An addict for video games.
"Wait a sec.."
My rank is G which is actually below an average male adult prowess which is G+. The difference between minuses and pluses in ranks is huge. Let alone a whole grade difference. Which means a single flick from that crazy bastard can literally one shot me.
I leaned towards the window and started planning my future.
Somehow I needed to survive this cursed world, but I can't do it alone. If I am correct, the talent grade for the whole world has risen by 1 letter grade. For example Ryder had SS talent grade in nightmare mode and S talent grade in hard mode. Meaning that the current Ryder and other characters should be SSS talent graded, but the demons will also have an increase in rank.
"Tsk"
But it might be doable. With enough preparation and teamwork, it is possible to beat the Demon King. Since the developer of the game "Fall of the Karavia Empire" stated that all modes are beatable. Many people doubted that until someone cleared the hard mode. Therefore seeing hope. I also cleared the Nightmare mode, meaning it should be possible to clear the Hell mode, but its difficulty will rise a lot.
Setting those thoughts aside.
"I need to grow stronger"
"But I need to increase my talent grade and there are a few things that allow the player to achieve a breakthrough in talent grade."
Hm, it seems I need to visit the ruins of Eclipsia, where the [Moon Crest] is buried. Eating that will allow the character to always increase the talent grade to S rank. This is usually used for Fiona Cecil. An alchemist, whose true alchemist talent was only locked until rising to the rank of S rank. But there is another person who can take over her spot so It won't affect the plot of the world that much… Probably?
To access the ruins of Eclipsia, one would typically need a formidable party of either 12 S-Ranked or 2 SS-Ranked individuals to avoid being completely overwhelmed by the demons that guard the area. The ruins are notoriously treacherous, with powerful demonic forces ready to obliterate any unprepared adventurers.
But since I am such an amazing gamer, I can go there solo since there is an easy strategy to take me there safely.
Casting the [Moon Crest] thoughts aside, I checked the date on my bracelet. It is currently 16/4/1056.
"What...?"
It's the day of the midterms.
"Oh shit"
Ah, I guess I'm skipping the midterms. But to think I was dropped into the world during midnight of the day midterm is occuring. What a crazy day.
Looking outside the window, I can see towering towers, buildings, and a few flying ships. The city of Luminance is a city separated from all the empires and kingdoms and only focuses on nurturing the future of this continent. It's also where all races gather and trade but also share insights in many different professions.
Anyways this body is really weak. I don't think I was this weak before but this body is really trash. I'm already sweating when I walked towards the station and sat down.
30 minutes passed and I finally arrived at station R-8.
"Ugh"
This was no longer a video game—it was real life. I walked through the grim streets, my heart heavy with each step. Dead bodies littered the path, infested with maggots, their decay a testament to the harshness of this world.
The scene was a nightmare: people were being abused and struck, their cries echoing through the alleys. The sounds of distress and suffering filled the air, a chilling reminder of the brutality that pervaded every corner. The stark contrast between the fantasy of my old life and the raw, harsh reality of this world was overwhelming
Sending a chill down my whole existence, I almost puked.
This is real.
I broke into cold sweat and quickly moved towards my destination. Kazok's Library. Literally a library in the middle of the slums where It holds the book to "Overclock".
Walking for 20 minutes, I reached there, my legs were already wobbling and Intense pain engulfs me. This curse is really annoying. The exhaustion and weakness were overwhelming, making it clear that adapting to this new reality would be more challenging than I had anticipated.
"Huff..."
I opened the door and walked in. It is literally 3 AM right now and the store is still open. This is what I really liked about this library. Open 24/7. Hehe
"Welcome, dear customer"
An old man with a full black outfit, covering his whole body from the hair towards his shoes. All black. This man is called Kazok, a hidden branch of the Moonlit Guild. An information guild that covers the whole continent with its people, gathering information. Some say they are even better than the royal families' information network.
"Hello, uh can I buy a book from here?"
"Sure, take your time"
I walked towards the 7th self and on the bottom right, the 4th book away from the corner, there it is. The book "Overclock". Its name is covered in dust, sheltered away and never opened. To think such a hidden gem is hidden in plain eyes. I guess even Moonlit Guild has its own flaws.
Walking towards the counter,
"Can I purchase this book?"
"Sure, it will be 20 Union Credits"
I handed out my bracelet and was scanned by a scanner. Deducting my Union Credits from 77 to 57. Union credits is the common currency of the continent. Governed and managed by the Union itself. But for students of the Lumi Academy, the currency is Lumi credits which students can use to buy things in the school grounds to train or get other stuff. I took away the book and stuffed it inside my subspace. All students of Lumi Academy also get a 3 ft by 3 ft cubic subspace. ingrained into their own bracelet to carry stuff. I must say, they really care about the students.
I walked outside and began walking towards Mount Paektu.
-----
Kazok's Pov
I observed a young lady in a Lumi uniform, her specialized robe fluttering as she walked into the store. The clock read 3 AM, and with midterms just six hours away, it was curious to see a student braving the slums to buy a random, worn-out book while visibly sweating.
'What an intriguing individual.'
I tapped the counter twice, summoning my assistant.
"Find out who that lady is."
"Yes, my Liege"

Alyssa's Pov
Another 3 Hours has passed and it seems I'm destined to skip the midterms. I'm laying on the ground after collapsing because of the pain that is engulfing my whole body.
I got up and staggered towards the cave, where Sage Shinra's legacy was hidden. Inside the cave, there is nothing but rocks. Underneath the 3rd largest rock is where the manual is hidden. This crazy sage really put his manual underneath this heavy ass rock. I pushed with all my might and my vision is starting to black out.
"Tsk..."
I managed to push aside the heavy rock, revealing a book partially covered in debris. I reached out and carefully brushed off the grime, then opened the manual.
All I feel is pain in my head, countless information on swords and skills are seeping into my brain.
"Ugh"
Holding onto my sanity as the pain persisted for a grueling 10 minutes, I watched as the book gradually disappeared before my eyes. It was startling to realize that the method of learning was akin to what I had experienced in the game, but now it required real-time effort and patience
Something popped up into my screen

"Ugh"
I feel like I'm going to die any moment now, but I have to now open the other book "Overclock"
Reaching out towards my bracelet, I focused intently on the image of the dulled book, and it materialized in my hand. I opened it, eager to learn its contents, but before I could fully grasp what was happening, darkness overwhelmed me, and I blacked out.
-
"Ugh"
I tried lifting my hands but barely managed to push myself and lean onto the walls of the cave.
[ Learned Overclock (Unknown) ]
-> Minor Mastery of 1st Realm
As I regained consciousness, I found myself overwhelmed by a flood of information now ingrained in my mind. The sudden onset of knowledge was intense, more than I had anticipated. It was disorienting to pass out instantly, but I recognized this as part of the process—a form of punishment for accessing such concentrated wisdom in a short period of time.

I shot up in a frenzy, my mind racing. Without a second thought, I bolted out and headed straight for the station
