Chapter One
Alex was leaning against a boulder, bloodied. front of him stood a bloodied woman, her skin burned off entirely, yet she was still alive, her hateful gaze fixed on Alex.
"Damn you... brat..." she muttered.
Thirty Minutes Earlier
"Hmm... looks like the cycle here is quite messed up. If I'm correct, sundown should be in about 30 minutes or so," Alex said, glancing up at the sky as he calculated the time.
He had been there for about five hours.
"Should I run another simulation? No, I only placed five gold coins here, saving the rest. I need to be careful not to waste them..." Alex muttered to himself, determined not to squander the money he might need later.
"Hm?" Alex's attention was drawn ahead. He squinted, peering through a small gap in the foliage, and sensed a battle brewing in the northern part of the forest.
"Someone's fighting? Interesting..." Alex said with a smile.
BSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Suddenly, something broke through the air and crashed like a meteor right in front of him.
"Shit!" Alex quickly strengthened the ground beneath him with Spark to prevent it from breaking.
"Hmmm... is this where the next prayer is?" The dust settled, revealing a woman clad in battle armor. She wore a bronze dress-armor, her green eyes glinting under her slightly tanned skin. Her black, straight hair fell to her shoulders.
She was enormous, standing nearly 2.5 meters tall.
"Now, where is the next..." Before the woman could finish her sentence, she noticed a small, box-shaped rock protruding from the ground where she had landed, having destroyed several meters of land.
It was a makeshift shelter, constructed from different rocks stacked together.
"I see now... looks like I have my prey here. Come out, youngster... I won't eat you~~~" She smiled seductively, her red lips curling.
Alex peeked out from his hiding spot.
"I don't know what Tier she is..." He sighed, realizing he had been discovered.

"Prompt simulation..." Alex initiated the simulation and positioned the prompt beside him.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
He punched the ground and leaped out of the cave, the entrance quickly collapsing under the rubble from his action.
"Eyee... a very handsome youngster you are. Now, come to---" Before the lady could finish her sentence...
"AGH!!!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
She was struck in the abdomen by something incredibly fast. With her reflexes, the woman managed to dodge the full impact of the beam.
"WHAT YOU!!!!"
BSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
BSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
BSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Three fireballs shot into the sky, each ablaze with blue flames. Like rotating galaxies, they hurtled toward the woman.
"I order you to stop..." she commanded. With those words, everything seemed to halt.
BSH!!!
The fireballs dissipated.
"Damn you..." The woman realized Alex had vanished from his previous position.
Alex had taken cover among the trees near the cave.
He had smeared himself with a green paste made from leaves—a makeshift camouflage.
"What was that? She said a word and my spell vanished..." Alex was cautious, trained by the army to ensure a significant advantage before engaging the enemy. If not, it was better to fight without hesitation.
"So rude to attack without asking. Where were you taught your manners, BOY? Explode." The lady's gaze locked onto the tree where Alex had been hiding.
"SHIT!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
The tree exploded into splinters.
Alex managed to leap away but was now exposed.
Finally, he got a clear look at the woman, who was clutching the wound Alex had inflicted.
"You are gracious to look at the damage you've caused. How rude, my armor is ruined..." Despite her playful tone, there was a sharp edge to her words.
But then...
"But I can't stay here too long, so let's end this... Pierce." Her eyes flashed blue for a moment.
Bzssstt....
"Huh..." Alex looked down and saw his leg was pierced.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
"Huh?" The woman frowned. She hadn't commanded anything to explode—where had that explosion come from?
"Defend."
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
"Looks like you don't know many spells, do you?" The woman smirked as the fireballs exploded around her, leaving her unscathed.
"And you have some wacky powers." Alex couldn't figure out what she was using to nullify his spells. Was it some kind of magic?
"Instantly cauterizing the wound on your leg to prevent bone damage was smart. You're a clever youngster, but I'll have to take you now..." The woman smiled, removing her hand from her wound. She pointed her finger at Alex and said:
"Entangle..."
BSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Vines from the surrounding trees came alive, shooting straight toward Alex.
CLANG!!!
He drew his sword and sliced through them.
Alex jumped, pointed his hand at the ground, and...
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Shattered it.
"Scatter..." Dust exploded in all directions, but the rubble didn't even touch the woman. Alex had vanished.
"Fast, aren't you... Entangle..."
BSHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
The dust came alive and swirled into the air where Alex had been. He was just above the warrior as the dust ensnared him.
"Well, that's a job well don---"
Before she could finish her sentence, the woman looked up and noticed Alex's finger extending outward just before he was fully entangled.
"Get lasered, bitch..."
BZSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!
A laser-like light shot from his finger, piercing the woman instantly.
An enormous explosion followed. Alex had poured all his energy into this attack, continuously utilizing Inferno's call, absorbing Spark from the air, leaping around to draw it from nature and even from the stones themselves.
He channeled all that power and released it like a bomb.
Even though he couldn't replicate the spell as he had in the simulation, it was powerful enough to shatter the illusion.
The dust settled. Alex was panting heavily.
"Now..." He pointed his hand downward.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Using the last of his power, he launched a fireball, propelling himself back toward the cave like a rocket.
"Is she--- fuck..." Alex gasped as he looked ahead.
The woman stood in the center of the explosion, unscathed.
"Now... you are done..."
