I've given speeches during Demo Days and not been this nervous.
Dinner is halfway over, and I've eaten enough for Thanksgiving and Christmas combined.
Everyone has spoken eloquently, including Hades and Zeus, up until now. I stand in the middle of the ballroom, decorated with Underworld-type decorations, as well as Chinese godly emblems. The Chinese Zodiac is everywhere.
I stand up at the wedding party table and raise my glass of nectar. All eyes are on me.
"First, I'd like to thank everyone for coming. This wedding had been thousands of years in the making, and everyone out there agrees that it's worth it, don't we?"
Cheers and whistles and animal sounds, as well as other noises I can't identify.
