SEVERAL DAYS LATER
The front desk looks cleaner than I left it. Someone has rearranged the keys and hung them on hooks on the wall, protected by a glass case that opens at the touch of my hand.
The guestbook now rests on a golden stand, open, with a big fancy quill pen just waiting for a guest to use it.
The computer is the same, except that someone has wiped the screen clean and added an ergonomic keyboard.
The inn's brochures have been redesigned with the new tagline, "Wendigo Residence Inn--Home of the Demon Slayer," and guests are actually reading them, commenting on them. The bold colors make the brochure come to life.
I read the brochure, because it is a masterpiece.
