Sarah was instantly horrified. The laptop was completely soaked, and there was nothing she could do to fix it.
The screen turned to static.
Nathan tried to save his laptop by quickly wiping off the liquid, removing the ice from the keyboard, and using his shirt to dry it.
But the screen of his laptop kept flickering, the display cutting in and out, until a few seconds later, it went black.
Sarah began to panic. Without a word, she could sense Nathan's silent anger. His face contorted with rage, but he didn't say anything. He kept his head low, clenching his fists as he tried to brush the wet parts of his shirt.
"I—uhm. I'm so sorry," Sarah stammered, on the verge of tears. Just moments ago, she had wanted to help Nathan, to get him to notice her. She never expected to make such a grave mistake.
Despite his wet shirt and laptop, Nathan didn't lose his temper.
