"Muehehehe!"
Lucian's laughter echoed through the small, rusted shack as he leaned back against the cold metal wall. He had managed to escape Sugar's weird and over-the-top display of affection, and now, sitting in the quiet confines of this rundown hideout, he couldn't help but just dance and laugh at it all.
"That was way too close," he muttered between chuckles, still shaking his head at how easily he had slipped away unnoticed. Rosa sat across from him, her back resting against the opposite wall, arms crossed as she observed him in silence.
She had been the one to help him escape, using the chaos caused by Sugar, Makena, and Annie as the perfect cover. But her expression now was far from amused.
Lucian wiped away the imaginary stray tear from laughing, noticing Rosa's serious demeanor. He straightened up, his laughter fading as the weight of the situation settled back in.
"How've you been, my child?" he asked, his tone softening.
