The Wasteland has this constant noise traveling across it, and it never truly disappears – you will just get used to it. And as someone who has not really been traveling in the Wasteland lately, Annie was still very much hearing it moving through her ears… well, that is until she saw Lucian, and now all of a sudden, all of her attention was on him.
"Why does it sound like you're disappointed in seeing me again, Annie my girl?" Lucian's sigh mixed with the wind, traveling faster through Annie's ears and causing her to just let out a sigh of her own, "And here I thought that the last time we met, we formed some sort of amicable relationship."
