Li Yun's face grew serious as he heard her, his attention fixed on the front.
It was then he saw creatures resembling beasts but completely black, with red stripes running from their eyes down their faces. Bones protruded from odd angles around their bodies, and their overall appearance made Li Yun think of only one thing.
"Demons!" Li Yun exclaimed. "Are they demons?" he asked, looking at Mei Lin.
"I'm afraid so," Mei Lin replied with a grim expression. "They are demons, and these creatures are called Fiendlings. They don't have any high intelligence and act no differently than beasts, but their numbers are so vast that they give anyone a headache."
Li Yun nodded in understanding. Though he wanted to ask her what she meant by Fiendlings, he figured that could wait until they dealt with these Fiendlings.
"Prepare yourselves! Once they attack, they will keep coming in large numbers, so don't back down at all," Mei Lin warned everyone present.
