Chapter 14 - Sweeping Through Mo Han's Team

The moment that disciple disappeared, Li Yun felt a slight itch on his right palm. Turning it over, he was surprised to see numbers flashing there.

+43

'I see. So, it's the points of the one I sent away.'

A devilish smile appeared on his face as he realized the benefits of this rule.

"You guys are very thoughtful. Knowing this rule exists, not only did you come to give me your points, but you also kindly explained the rule to me."

Tears glistened in his eyes as he felt the warmth and pure bliss of their willingness to help him.

Wiping away those tears, he looked at them as if they were his dearest friends.

"You guys, I'll never forget your sacrifices."

"Bastard!" Mo Han cursed with rage, realizing they were being played, and shouted, "Everyone, attack at the same time!"

The disciples surrounding Li Yun all attacked simultaneously at Mo Han's command.

"Sword Splitting Technique."

"Raging Fist."

"Dragon Descending The Sea."

"Seven Layer Spear."

"Storm Kick."

Various martial techniques rained down on Li Yun from all sides.

But Li Yun didn't panic. Instead, an excited smile slowly spread across his face as he took in the chaotic scene around him.

His eyes darted from one incoming attack to another, his mind analyzing each strike with calculated precision. The air was thick with the energy of countless martial techniques converging on him, but Li Yun remained calm, almost eager.

His right eye flickered with a vibrant purple light, allowing him to see through the flaws and weaknesses of every martial technique being used against him.

Each attack, no matter how powerful or complex, was laid bare before him, revealing its vulnerabilities.

In that moment, he moved.

Using only the 4th layer of the Thunderclap Dragon Sword, he thrust his sword forward with pinpoint accuracy, aiming directly at those flaws.

The Thunderclap Dragon Sword moved with blinding speed, striking at the heart of each attack with surgical precision.

Only the rumbling of thunder could be heard from time to time as he thrust his sword at each and every attack coming toward him.

The moment his blade connected, the flaws in the techniques unraveled, causing them to dissipate harmlessly.

Bewildered expressions clouded the faces of the disciples who suddenly felt their attacks vanish the moment Li Yun's sword collided with them.

But Li Yun didn't give them time to ponder.

Harnessing the strength of the 5th layer of the Thunderclap Dragon Sword, he swung his sword in a wide, sweeping arc.

Boom!—

The moment the sword completed its arc, the energy coalesced, and with a deafening boom, the sound of thunder exploded outward.

The disciples surrounding him had no time to react. The shockwave from the Thunderclap Dragon Sword struck them like a tempest, sending them flying in all directions.

Bodies were hurled through the air, crashing into trees with bone-jarring force, slamming into stones that shattered upon impact, and some were simply tossed across the ground, tumbling uncontrollably before coming to a halt, battered and bruised.

Mo Han's mouth hung open as he took in the scene before him. He was shocked to the core, seeing how effortlessly Li Yun defeated so many disciples.

As he was reeling from the shock, the disciples that were blown away by Li Yun's sword shone with red light before they disappeared from the scene.

"Haha, so many points."

Li Yun laughed with a silly expression before he noticed he hadn't looted the biggest treasure pot yet.

"Ah, my bad, I forgot about you. Now let's start."

Wiping the saliva drooling from his face, he took his stance with his sword, waiting for Mo Han to attack.

Mo Han's brows twitched when he saw that. The greed on Li Yun's face was apparent—he didn't even try to hide it. The way he was looking at him as if he were some kind of treasure made him tremble.

However, the prospect of fighting against him made him even more terrified.

He understood he wasn't Li Yun's opponent considering what he had just witnessed. But he also wasn't willing to lose all his points and be eliminated.

Only two or so hours had passed since the start of the assessment, and he hadn't even earned many points, so he wasn't willing to be eliminated so early.

"Li Yun, I have a deal. Would you like to listen?"

He proposed a deal to Li Yun in the end.

"Oh, what is it?"

Li Yun became intrigued. He understood that Mo Han wouldn't propose a deal here if it didn't benefit him in some way. After all, it entirely depended on him whether Mo Han got eliminated or not.

"I heard Wang Min and Mu Tai, along with other disciples from the cities, were planning to kill a 4th-level Qi Training Realm beast."

Li Yun's eyes shone with brilliance as he heard him.

"What beast is it?" He asked.

"It's a Fourarmed Berserk Ape."

Li Yun's breathing became heavy as he heard that name. He felt as if Mo Han hadn't come to rob him but to help him reach the highest points in the combat assessment.

"Tell me more. The location of the beast and the number of disciples hunting it." He asked in a hushed tone.

Mo Han felt hope when he saw the excited expression on Li Yun's face and continued.

"1 km north from here is where the beast is. I overheard them planning to kill the beast when I passed by there."

Li Yun nodded and confirmed some details.

"How many of those beasts? And the number of disciples?"

"There is only one Fourarmed Berserk Ape, and the number of disciples hunting it are ten—Wang Min and Mu Tai, along with eight other disciples."

Li Yun nodded and pondered for a moment.

"Alright, you can go. But next time, you won't be so lucky."

With those words, Li Yun didn't wait for Mo Han and ran toward the direction where Mo Han said the Fourarmed Berserk Ape was situated.

"Hehe, Li Yun, I know you're strong. But going there when there are multiple 3rd level Qi Training Realm disciples fighting the beast was a stupid decision."

Mo Han chuckled and went his own way.
