Lilith glanced over her shoulder, clearly amused by Adrian's timing, but she relented. "Relax, darling," she said with a light laugh. "I'm just having a little fun." She turned back to the maid, releasing her chin with a soft, almost affectionate touch. "Thank you for checking on us," Lilith said, her voice returning to its usual teasing tone. "We'll call for you if we need anything."
The maid nodded quickly, her cheeks still flushed as she stepped back. "Of course, my lady," she replied, bowing once more before scurrying away down the hallway.
Lilith closed the door behind her with a satisfied sigh, turning back to the others with a grin. "She's sweet, isn't she?"
Adrian shot her a look but didn't comment. He knew Lilith's nature all too well and had long since accepted that her playful, flirtatious side was just part of who she was.
