As Adrian, Lilith, Medea and Ava approached the gates of the village, the faint sounds of music and distant chatter reached their ears. The town was alive with activity, even as night fell. The Church of Adonitology, it seemed, never truly rested.
When they reached the entrance, a young acolyte greeted them, his eyes wide with awe as he took in the sight of the group—particularly the three goddesses walking alongside Adrian. More like he was focused on their asses.
"Welcome back," the acolyte stammered, his gaze lingering on Lilith, who gave him a knowing smile. "Selene, the high priestess, will be pleased to see you again."
Adrian smiled politely.
"I'm glad to hear that," he replied, hoping his voice didn't betray his nerves. "We're just here to rest for the night, but I'd love to speak with her. If she's available, that is."
"I'm sure she will make out the time," Lilith said with a wink, causing the acolyte's cheeks to flush a deep red.
