Adrian's hands clenched into fists, his knuckles turning white as he fought to keep his emotions in check. But it was no use. The anger, the guilt, the grief — all of it surged within him like a tidal wave, threatening to drown him.
"Stop it!" Adrian bellowed, his voice hoarse with desperation. "Stop it!"
But the taunting continued. The voice was relentless. "You're nothing, Adrian. Just a broken man clinging to his rage." The voice scoffed coldly. "You couldn't save them, and now you seek revenge to fill the void. But it will never be enough. You will never be enough."
The rage that had been simmering within Adrian finally erupted.
With a furious cry, he summoned his chains, all eight of them their fiery glow casting a red light across the chamber. He lashed out at the mirrors, the chains flying in all directions, smashing them one by one and sending shards of glass flying in all directions.
