"Your face seems unusually red... Are you alright? Should I call the physician?" he replied with a soft voice. But if one took notice of his voice, they could hear a little amusement hiding behind the gentle tone.
But Cassian did not, because he was too flustered to notice anything. His mind was already going in another direction, and after hearing the concerned voice of the City Lord, even his face started flushing like a red tomato.
"I am... m alright, my Lord. It's because I have just woken up, and that was taking a toll on my body," Cassian lied with a straight face. He had to hide his embarrassed face one way or another. Why not just blame it on sickness?
"Huh! What are you doing, my Lord?" Cassian shrieked and jumped a few meters away from the City Lord, his voice shuddering with nervousness and disbelief.
He was just lost for a few seconds in his thoughts. He did not even know when the Lord's hand came towards his forehead.
