Nathan yawned while walking to the lake.
Evelyn was already waiting for him next to the lake. She asked, "Are you tired?"
"Yeah. But it's fine. It's not like I have anything better to do here." Nathan nodded. "I'm more curious about the improvement anyway."
Evelyn furrowed her eyebrows. "You're curious about that? As someone who has created that technique, shouldn't you take pride in it?"
Nathan smiled, recalling Selena. Compared to Selena's monstrous talent, he was nothing. The only advantage he had was the novels he had read.
He might be able to create something new through the knowledge he got from those stories, but he wouldn't be talented enough to perfect it.
Nathan shrugged. "In any case, I don't care about it. If there's anything I can improve, that'll be better. Even if you are my nemesis, I will probably thank you… Thank you for perfecting my technique so that I can kill you with it."
