Chereads / Black Swordsman and Ice Girl Wizard / Chapter 8 - First Lesson (Part 1)

Chapter 8 - First Lesson (Part 1)

Four days after the entrance ceremony, when we had had a good rest, it was time to go to class.

There weren't any notable events or anything too special that happened during those four days, other than Dieter and Lawn finding out that I was friends with Charlotte.

Maybe because they wanted to meet their 'idol', they came to my room every morning to sit on duty early, hoping to meet Charlotte, and today their wish came true...

"What are you two doing sitting there?" I rearranged my things and the other two sat cross-legged on the chairs. They came here to bother me early in the morning. Even earlier than when I woke up to train every day.

In fact, my quiet little room was now becoming a private conversation room for the two of them.

"I heard she was going to call you to school today, right?"

Dieter asked me with dark circles under his eyes.

"Huh, you know everything!"

Lawn just yawned, it looked like he hadn't slept much last night.

"Hey Dieter-kun, is it okay if I have my hair like this?"

"The hair is fine, and the glasses are a bit off"

Dieter adjusted Lawn's glasses with his hand, then picked up a small spray bottle and handed it to him: "It's very difficult for me to buy this high quality perfume"

"Oh"

"Don't use that in my room" I glared at Lawn as he held the perfume bottle up to his neck.

I didn't like the fact that my belongings smelled strongly of perfume from the bottle in his hands.

"I'll only use a little" Lawn crossed his hands.

"Charlot-chan doesn't like that heavy perfume!"

"Huh, what are you saying?" Lawn heard what I had just said and hurriedly put the perfume bottle down on the table.

Dieter was startled, but still managed to keep his composure.

"Don't fool me, the salesmen told the noble women to like the smell of this perfume."

"Then try it," I casually replied to Dieter's excuse.

Seeing me so calm, he turned pale.

At that moment, there was a sudden knock on the door and a familiar voice said: "Baka Anos-kun, are you awake?"

"I'll "escort" you to school"

Lawn immediately recognised that it was Charlotte's voice and he adjusted his demeanour, stood up and got ready...

Dieter kicked in the bathroom door and 'flew' into it...

"Anos-kun, this is the breakfast I got up early to make for you" Charlotte handed me a heart-shaped butter sandwich.

"You eat quickly"

"Thank... thank you."

I had just got my breakfast from Charlotte and it looked fantastic.

I secretly wondered how she could remember my taste so well after all these years of not seeing each other.

And as I ate my breakfast in front of Charlotte's attentive eyes, the other two guys came forward.

Lawn looked shy and the wet Dieter stood behind him.

"Anos-kun, are these the two friends you told me about the other day?"

"Um" I nodded quietly.

Charlotte looked at their confused expressions and smiled.

And I have to tell you the truth, that smile is a sweet smile that can melt the hearts of the coldest boys.

Charlotte took the initiative "Thank you for helping Anos-kun. I'm Charlotte Shreya, it's a pleasure to meet you!"

Lawn and Dieter saw Charlotte talking to them, their faces flushed and their bodies shaking. They stammered without speaking and lowered their faces. Now they looked like debut actors.

"The guy with the glasses is Lawn, and the guy with the dark skin next to him is Dieter"

I ate the cake and briefly introduced the other two shy guys to her.

"Lawn and Dieter ?"

Charlotte was really thoughtful. She took two small bags of biscuits out of the basket she was carrying, "I hope you will continue to help Anos-kun in the future!"

Charlotte's sweet expression and the small bag of biscuits caused Lawn and Dieter's minds to explode. Their bodies suddenly collapsed.

Charlotte's naive question shows how pure she is.

The truth is that the two men fainted mainly because they had been waking up early the last few days, But they still hugged the bag of biscuits she gave them.

Charlotte called out a many times, but the two guys seemed to be in a deep sleep. These two guys must be very happy now.

I had just finished my breakfast.

"Leave them alone" I smiled, pawned my things and led Charlotte out of the room.

"Is it okay to leave them like this?"

I can't say they fainted because of Charlotte's sweetness, so it's best to ignore her question...

After a while, she and I were on the way to school, covered with trees and the early morning golden sun.

"Charlot-chan, I remember you being very clumsy as a child.."

"Baka Anos-kun, what did you just say ?" Charlotte angrily pinched her cheek and kicked me in the leg. The air around her became very cold.

"The sandwich that you made today is so good !"

"Really?" She smiled happily and her gait changed from normal to a stride.

"I had to study with my mother for half a year" Charlotte looked very proud when she heard my compliment.

She seemed to be having a lot of fun, and I could feel that the atmosphere around her was gradually returning to normal.

"...how long did it take you to learn to bake cookies?"

"I don't know how to bake cookies!"

"Heh? So what are those cookies...?"

"I bought them in the school canteen. Price is only 2 gallons per bag"

I listened to their explanation and felt poor for Dieter and Lawn. I don't know what their mood will be like when they find out about the truth.

"Anos-kun, do you like cookies?"

Charlotte suddenly looked at me. She also approached my body.

Charlotte and I had just entered the Academy's campus.

This place is really crowded now and it's a far cry from the scene I've ever seen.

Students in white uniforms were laughing and joking with each other, gathered in small groups.

And when they saw me with Charlotte, some of the students looked at me with bizarre eyes.

They were the aristocratic students, and the commoner students like me wore darker uniforms, and most of them avoided contact with the people around them. They went straight to their classrooms.

I seem to be a strange exception to this rule.

"Charlot-chan, is that guy your boyfriend?"

The unexpected question came from a young girl, who had an extremely cute face with turquoise eyes and sun-coloured hair. She had just come up from the stairs and was Charlotte's roommate.

Her name is Carla.

Unlike the civilian dormitory, the aristocratic dormitory at this academy allows two to three people to share a room, but this is almost exclusively favoured by girls.

"Carla-chan, he's not my boy... boyfriend!"

Charlotte replied to Carla, who was looking at me with curious eyes.

"Huh, Charlot-chan..."

"Don't try to deceive me, this guy is obviously the great guy you were always talking about?"

"You're Anos Daziel, aren't you?" Carla smiled and walked over to me.

"You don't know, Charlot-chan told me a lot about you, from the fact that she peeked at you in the shower when you were both kids....!"

"No... no," Charlotte blushed, "you promised not to tell anyone"

Charlotte looked at my abstruse and became confused . She immediately ran to cover her mouth and pull Carla's hand.

"It's almost time for class, I... I'll go first !"

Before I could say anything, Charlotte was off. Her scolding of Carla came from a distance, but faded. Until a ray of sunlight shone directly into my eyes and it disappeared completely.

I don't know why I feel so funny about her reactions right now.

And a short bell rang to startle me.

Realising that I might be late for my first lesson, I immediately started moving.

As I walked down a long flight of stairs, the sound of something falling from a nearby door caught my attention.

"She is elf girl called Sylphy, isn't she?" I saw the elf girl struggling amidst a large pile of scattered books.

Looks like she needs some help.

I quickly approached her and picked up the heavy books lying outside, which had probably just been borrowed from the school library.

The girl, Sylphy, with the thick round glasses, raised her head to look at what I was doing. But she didn't say anything.

Sylphy seems colder than she looks.

She was a beautiful girl with sparkling eyes, and suddenly one of them flashed.

Dark sheets of paper flew out of an old leather book, stacked into something I couldn't understand.

She also stuttered a phrase, ".v.e.r.f.l.u.c.h.e.n."
