Just as the Golden Lion manipulated the seawater to attack the Oro Jackson wantonly, a deafening thunder suddenly sounded in the sky, followed by a torrential rain.
Both sides of the battle were stunned. Before they could react, several powerful waterspouts suddenly rose from the sea. With just a glance, a large number of ships from the Flying Pirates were swept into it, turning into fragments.
This was no ordinary storm, its destructive power was rare. The Golden Lion in the air was directly hit by a wave several meters high, smashing the deck of a ship.
After the Golden Lion was temporarily incapacitated, the remaining fleet of the Flying Pirates seemed vulnerable in the face of this natural disaster-level storm. Many ships were smashed by the surging waves, and the pirates aboard were buried in the sea.
Compared to the tragic scene of the Flying Pirates, the Oro Jackson, where the Roger Pirates were located, was in a much better situation. Although it seemed shaky in the violent currents, it did not suffer any substantial damage.
It was as if the strong wind was sent by the heavens to help Roger's pirate group escape. The fleet of the Sky Pirates was destroyed beyond recognition, and a huge gap appeared in the encirclement around the Oro Jackson.
Driven by the strong wind, the Oro Jackson was pushed out without even human control, eventually disappearing without a trace.
The disaster of the Flying Pirates continued. Many pirates collapsed, kneeling on the deck and crying.
Golden Lion was pulled out from under the deck by his men. Having been hit by seawater, his entire body was soaked and weak, otherwise, with his strength, he wouldn't need help.
He shook his clothes, looked around, and his face instantly became ugly.
The storm had destroyed half of his fleet. What was most unbearable was that the Roger Pirates had completely disappeared.
Golden Lion's face turned blue with anger. He ignored his soaked body, forced himself into the air, and roared to the sky, "This isn't fair! Damn it, God, why would you do this to me!!!"
Having just battled Roger and being hit head-on by seawater, Golden Lion was mentally and physically on the verge of collapse.
Huh!
Another strong wind blew, shaking the Golden Lion, causing him to fall again.
The ship below couldn't withstand the strong wind. The deck shattered into pieces, and debris flew everywhere. Before the Golden Lion fell, a broken rudder flew and hit him on the head.
Golden Lion's eyes turned white, and he lost consciousness on the spot.
The remaining pirates were terrified, rushing to catch the Golden Lion and move him to safety.
Suddenly, a dark vortex emerged out of thin air, condensing into Carl's body.
Seeing Carl, the pirates holding the Golden Lion were startled, and their grip weakened, causing the Golden Lion to fall with a thud.
A pirate pointed at Carl and said, trembling, "Navy!"
The other pirates immediately took out their weapons and aimed at Carl, but their morale had hit rock bottom, and no one dared to attack.
Carl didn't even glance at these minions. He looked at the half-dead Golden Lion on the ground and then at the remaining pirate ships, an evil smile appearing on his lips.
The pirates felt a chill as Carl smiled at them.
One pirate, mustering his courage, raised his sword and charged at Carl.
Carl slashed with his hand, and the pirate's head, gushing blood, fell to the ground.
The blood on Carl's hands was absorbed by the darkness.
Carl raised his eyes slightly, and a tide of darkness surged from under his feet.
The remaining pirates on the ship didn't even have time to scream before the darkness swallowed them, leaving only the Golden Lion lying on the deck.
As the rainstorm continued, Carl raised his hand, sucking the Golden Lion over and strangling his neck.
Golden Lion regained some consciousness and opened his eyes in a daze.
"Puff!"
Golden Lion's body trembled violently. He widened his eyes and finally saw Carl's face clearly.
He slowly lowered his head and saw Carl's hand piercing his chest. He muttered, trembling, "Navy, how dare you..."
Puff!
Carl pulled his hand out of Golden Lion's chest without emotion. Despite his heart being destroyed, Golden Lion's vitality was strong enough that he didn't die immediately. He even raised his hand, trying to make a final struggle.
But he was no longer a threat. A dark vortex appeared in Carl's hand, twisting Golden Lion's neck until it was like a dough twist. He made a hoarse sound before closing his eyes in defeat.
Golden Lion, a hero of his generation, died in such a suffocating way at Carl's hands.
The pirates on the nearby ships were too busy retreating to notice their captain's death.
Carl's hand, stained with Golden Lion's blood, turned black as he used his power to suck out the Float-Float Fruit, transferring it into a cantaloupe in the Dark Bible.
He also absorbed Golden Lion's two famous swords, Oto and Kogarashi, into the Dark Bible.
Glancing at Golden Lion's body, Carl released a twisted gravity from his hand, and with a snap, Golden Lion's head separated from his body.
Finally, a pirate ship approached, and a large number of pirates jumped off, shouting and running, "How's Captain Ski?... Nani?!"
Tick-tick-tick...
The ground beneath Carl's feet was soaked with Golden Lion's blood, still dripping from the severed head. The pirates, witnessing the scene, dropped their weapons in fear.
What greeted them was a terrifying wave of darkness.
After eliminating this wave of pirates, Carl remained. He raised his other hand, slowly spreading his palm as wisps of darkness gathered into a small black ball. Thunder streaked across the sky, illuminating Carl's indifferent face.
The remaining pirate ships sensed something was wrong and moved towards Carl's location. But as they approached, a small black ball rose into the air, and Carl's figure twisted until he disappeared, whispering,
"Dark·Chibaku Tensei."
