Chapter 119 - Chapter 119

An Admiral and a youthful face, Olivia immediately recognized the identity of the man standing before her.

She looked solemn and spoke in a deep voice, "You are the Admiral of the Navy, Black Dragon."

As soon as these words left her mouth, everyone on the ship froze, as if petrified.

Carl, hands casually in his pockets, smiled and said, "Seems like I'm quite famous."

With the confirmation, Olivia's hand trembled, and the gun she was holding clattered to the ground. As a scholar with vast knowledge, she understood the weight of the title "Admiral of the Navy." Standing before them was the highest combat power of the Navy. For ordinary people, even calling his strength monstrous was an understatement.

After all, every Admiral could easily destroy a country single-handedly. Even if everyone on the ship fired at once, their bullets wouldn't so much as scratch Carl.

Olivia, suppressing her fear, forced a smile. "The stories of Admiral Black Dragon have spread far and wide. Your photo has appeared in newspapers many times, so naturally, we recognize you."

"Oh? Is that so..." Carl tilted his head, appearing amused, and began walking toward the group.

But with each step he took, Olivia and the others instinctively took a step back. In the blink of an eye, Carl appeared directly in front of Olivia, moving faster than she had ever seen. Startled, she stumbled backward, fear overtaking her.

Buzz! A gravitational force emanated from Carl's body, pulling Olivia forward until her face was pressed against his chest. The urn she had been holding fell to the ground, spilling its ashes. A gust of sea breeze swept the ashes away, scattering them into the air.

For a brief moment, there was silence. Then, Olivia let out a heart-wrenching cry, "No!!!"

She sprinted to the edge of the deck, her body trembling with desperation, as if about to leap overboard. Carl raised his hand, using his power to pull her back. Her back was pressed against his palm as she struggled.

"Let me go! I need to bring him back!" she screamed, tears streaming down her face.

Carl frowned slightly and pulled her back around to face him. Taller than Olivia, he gripped her chin, forcing her to look up into his dark, intense eyes. The sight seemed to calm her, at least temporarily.

"The dead are gone. It's the living you should cherish," Carl said coldly, pushing her lightly. She nearly fell, but caught herself.

Carl's gaze swept over the ship, and the crew members, unable to bear the pressure he radiated, lowered their heads, trembling. Even without trying, his presence overwhelmed them.

He counted aloud, "Thirty-three in total, including Olivia. Yes, that's all."

To the group, it felt as though he were reading out their death sentences. Olivia, still wiping away tears, stammered nervously, "Admiral Black Dragon, I lost my composure earlier. I didn't get a chance to ask—did you come here specifically for us?"

Carl nodded slightly. Olivia's heart sank, though she clung to a final hope.

"Admiral Black Dragon, we're only here to conduct research. As for the historical texts you overheard... I think maybe you—"

"Are you saying I heard wrong?" Carl interrupted with a mocking smile, leaning in close to Olivia's ear. "Olivia, what do you think could make a Navy Admiral come out personally?"

His voice was like a devil's whisper, and Olivia trembled uncontrollably. Clenching her fists, she raised her head, shouting,

"It was all my idea! It has nothing to do with them or Ohara! Arrest me!"

She knew full well the gravity of her actions in the eyes of the World Government. If implicated, all of Ohara would be destroyed. She had no choice but to take responsibility alone.

The other scholars exchanged worried glances. Some prepared to step forward, unwilling to let Olivia bear the burden alone. But before anyone could speak, Carl's expression shifted to one of puzzlement.

"Your idea? Did you do something extraordinary, requiring a Navy Admiral to catch you?"

Olivia froze, confused. "But the history—"

Before she could continue, realization dawned on her, and she quickly fell silent. Carl laughed and said,

"Aren't scholars like you supposed to study history? I'm not interested in it. I was just curious when I heard you muttering. But you all seem so nervous. Did you do something wrong?"

One of the scholars quickly shouted, "No! No, we were just nervous meeting an Admiral for the first time. Please don't misunderstand, Admiral Black Dragon!"

Olbia hurriedly echoed, "Yes, we were too nervous!"

Carl nodded, as though considering their words. "I see, perhaps I overthought it..."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. But Carl's next words sent a fresh wave of fear through them. With a bright smile, he added, "Just remember... don't do anything bad, or I'll be very angry."
