"Congratulations on your pup," Axis continued. However, the tension in the room seemed to be rising the longer the two males were speaking.
"Thank you. I am happy," smiled Midnight, looking down at Mei Xing before turning his attention back to me. "Hello, big sister."
I didn't know how to respond to that statement or if I even should respond. So, I simply kept my head high and ignored him.
"So, Da'kea said that you had been found, but I have no idea your story," smiled Mei Xing, changing the subject away from the guys and back to me.
"I have no story," I shrugged, not wanting to divulge my humiliation to the woman across from me. In my mind, I kept telling myself that I needed to forgive her. That she was not personally responsible for what happened to me… but I wasn't there yet.
"Somehow, I doubt that," chuckled Mei Xing. "I didn't think I had a story either until I woke up on Jun Li."
