Each round of the preliminary rounds was designed in a battle-royale fashion. The reason was that anyone under twenty years of age could participate in the Junior's Cup of Elaris. As long as they passed two tests, they could participate in the tournament.
As soon as the fight began, Cedric was surrounded by ten fighters all seeking to prove themselves. These fighters did not care for repercussions of attacking a prince but wanted to prove themselves in this arena.
In response to their attacks, Cedric grinned with excitement as he received their attacks with his bare skin. The first to strike him was a large man with a long hammer, who struck his arms and sent Cedric sliding across the arena.
One would expect Cedric to have his arms crushed by the giant man, but he was unharmed. A strange metallic sheen covered his arms as he grinned at the giant man, who began to feel threatened.
