The three gathered around the trembling woman, who seemed incapable of looking them in the eye. She covered her ears and closed her eyes while hiding behind a workstation. Morrin stood confused as Cedric emerged from his shadow.
"Is she ill?" asked the witch with confusion. Cedric knew that mental issues were common in Elaris because of mana. He had read a snippet of his grandmother's diary that said summoners were often antisocial and delusional.
"It might be that she has crippling social anxiety," Cedric explained, but the woman was still shaking. Ember also approached as she realized that this wasn't a trap. "She can still be dangerous. Be careful."
"How are we supposed to question her if she's like this?" Ember asked, with a hint of concern and a tiny bit of pity. Cedric considered their options for a few moments before asking the two to wait by the door. Then, he used his cloak and approached.
