Cedric watched the monster get butchered by his shadow without mercy. It was a one-sided fight, as his shadow received no damage from the monster, but the latter was torn apart. There was a saying in Elaris about people fighting battles they cannot win:
'Fighting their own shadows.'
His shadow seemed dissatisfied with the fight, since it could not devour the monster's shadow. Cedric recalled it underneath him and observed the destruction it had brought. It was anything but unsightly.
"A one-sided fight is nothing but injustice," muttered Cedric with a sigh, once again disappointed. Then, he raised a hand and used the skill Shadow Summon.
A shadow rose from the ground before him, looking like a humanoid monster but carrying a weapon. Cedric saw that it resembled the shadow soldiers Kain summoned, but something was different.
