The feather sword and lightning bolt were about to kill the spider when it let out a shrill outcry. The lightning bolt grew unstable and exploded, while Cedric's sword was blocked by a wave of invisible force.

The narrator told Cedric what he needed to know. He pulled his sword back and watched as the spider laid eggs on the ground beneath it. The eggs hatched at an alarming speed, and tiny spiders rushed out toward them.
"Shade, activate Lethal Waves!" shouted Cedric as he slashed with his shadow sword, watching it transform into a whip that killed a swarm of tiny spiders.
