A very thin line separated the bold from the reckless. As long as you knew the extent of your abilities, you would know which one you were. Cedric wanted to believe he was more bold than reckless for thinking about killing his pursuers.
Several factors went into his decision, one of them being that the pursuers seemed to be more specialized in tracking than actual combat. In addition, there were only two of them coming after him.
There was also an undeniable eagerness for a thrilling fight. Cedric enjoyed being the hunter more than the prey. Did anyone ever enjoy being the latter? Cedric wondered with a smile as he opened his system.
The comforting blue-and-white panel gave Cedric mental strength inside the gloomy forest. It promised power as he desired, and he had accumulated quite the sum of that power.
