Cedric watched the notifications flash, and excitement made him giddy, but he fought the urge to evolve immediately. A hidden class was something only a main character would obtain. Furthermore, it would entitle him to many benefits.
"My lord...?" called Ember from behind him, prompting Cedric to turn around. "I have something to ask," she said with great hesitation. Cedric could see her tightening her hands into fists, and he already knew the question to come. "Are you a summoner?"
Ember looked at him with a pained expression. Although Cedric had unsummoned Shade earlier, it wasn't enough to dispel her suspicions. Many tamers had the ability to let their tamed monsters rest inside their bodies.
"What makes you think that I am?" Cedric answered with a question and a smile. His shadow returned beneath him, and he could feel the immense power it had gained.
