The new skill that his Familiar obtained was called Lightning Speed. Cedric watched as the small winged cat channeled its lightning, not as an attack, but as an enhancement that allowed it to increase its speed, reflexes, and burst power.
Lightning crackled around the small cat as it turned into a small sphere of destruction. It zoomed around the Shadow Fiend, launching countless attacks in the span of a few seconds. The lightning no longer came out as bolts but as an electrical discharge using the cat's body as a medium.

Cedric heard a faint voice in his head and realized it belonged to Shade, darting across the battlefield. His shadow began to push back the fiend, which was being distracted by the small firefly of lightning.
