The strings of energy shattered the floor and the workshop, heading toward Arturo and Cedric. As the small-framed clerk saw his life flash before his eyes, the prince stepped in front of him and waved his hand.

His hand clashed against the destructive energy, dispelling it without the prince taking a step back. Arturo thought the prince would lose his arm, but as he lowered it, it was without a scratch.
"My lord… are you even human?" asked Arturo without realizing, his shock making his tongue slip. He covered his mouth as Cedric turned toward him with a surprised and amused expression.
