Cedric was confused by his double vision. He saw the knight slash toward him, and another knight following right after. Cedric dodged the first strike with confusion, only to realize that the first image disappeared.
The knight came and slashed, missing Cedric for the first time. The millisecond difference between the two images allowed Cedric to dodge ahead of time. As he stared at the knight turning into two again, Cedric understood what he was seeing.
His mind had grown so used to the knight's movement that it became capable of deducing its attacks based on its movements. It was not real foresight, but something akin to battle instinct.
Cedric became capable of dodging the knight's attacks. Of course, there were still instances where Cedric dodged too early and the knight reacted to his intent. There was still a long way to go before he could defeat the knight.
