Deep in the far northern ice plains, the cold wind howled as it swept through the frozen landscape.
To the south of the northern barbarians' fortress city, human settlements became more frequent, but to the north lay a true wasteland.
This was a vast and dense snow forest, filled with towering ancient trees that reached nearly a hundred meters in height. The temperature here hovered around minus fifty or sixty degrees, a constant in this region!
Yet the cold was just the most basic danger of the snow forest…
Within the forest, amidst the roars of beasts, massive ancient trees toppled in succession. A giant, dragon-shaped silhouette glided through the sky, its gleaming fangs striking fear into anyone who beheld them…
This was a true no-man's-land. Ever since the first Emperor of the Empire sent powerful warriors here a thousand years ago to capture a super-danger beast, no one had set foot here again!
But today…
A few three-to-four-meter-tall wolf-type danger beasts were chasing a half-meter-long snow rabbit, as usual.
Suddenly—bang!
With a massive explosion of air, a huge shadow enveloped them.
Boom!
In the next moment, an enormous white body crashed down from the sky. Accompanied by the sound of twisted flesh and bones, both the prey and the hunters were crushed into a bloody pulp, leaving a massive crater in the snow-covered ground.
The frozen earth shattered, storms of snow and wind howled, and the ground for hundreds of meters around cracked and sank. The thick layer of snow erupted outward from the center, spreading in waves like a white tsunami, destroying everything in its path and breaking the silence of the land.
"Dragon-shaped super-danger species—Tyrant. Material for the creation of the Imperial Arm: Demon Armor · Incursio…"
Within the crater, at the feet of Sebas, who was dressed in a black butler's uniform, lay the fearsome beast. Its appearance was monstrous, with six blood-red eyes marked with cross-shaped pupils, and its body was covered in bluish-white fur.
This was none other than the dragon-shaped super-danger species—Tyrant!
"You really made me search long and hard for you!" Sebas remarked.
"ROAR—!" As if understanding Sebas' disdain, Tyrant opened its blood-stained jaws and roared in defiance.
"Hm?" Sebas, his right hand poised in a knife-like stance to deliver the killing blow, suddenly looked up.
"Is this your backup? Took down the young one, and now the big one arrives. Hmph, a bonus then!"
Boom!
A much larger shadow crashed down from the sky. The impact sent earth flying. Like the younger Tyrant, this one also had six blood-red, cross-pupiled eyes.
But this Tyrant was even bigger, its dragon-shaped body nearing a hundred meters in length. Its enormous frame, covered in a rock-hard carapace, looked both majestic and fearsome. Four gigantic, menacing claws dug into the ground, and on its massive body sat a pair of relatively small wings.
Though Tyrant was powerful, mysterious, and rare, it wasn't a singular species. Throughout history, many had witnessed and recorded its existence.
Tyrant's defining trait was its adaptability!
It could quickly adapt to its environment and evolve continuously to suit the changes around it!
Whether or not this evolution had any limits or restrictions… no one knew as of yet.
Due to this adaptability, each individual Tyrant looked different from the others. Some had scales, some had fur, some grew wings, and some even had shells.
In fact, one recorded Tyrant had evolved into a form resembling a turtle, with webbed claws and a shell on its back... quite a bizarre sight.
The only consistent traits, aside from their ferocious appearance, were the blood-red, cross-shaped pupils.
"Two of them—just perfect. Plenty of material for experiments!" Sebas said, as purple particles flickered around his body. In an instant, his hand, like a blade, slashed through the air…
Splat!
Right in front of the elder Tyrant, Sebas sliced the younger one into pieces!
In the next moment, Sebas transformed into a violet-red beam of light and struck the elder Tyrant's body with tremendous force.
Boom! The ground quaked, snow flew everywhere.
Then came a metallic clang—clink!—as the elder Tyrant's body stiffened from the blow. Seizing the moment, Sebas delivered a powerful straight kick, as if casually kicking a football.
Bang!
With overwhelming force, Tyrant's massive body flew into the depths of the snow forest. A violent shockwave followed, toppling countless trees like dominoes.
"ROAR ROAR ROAR—!!"
However, the elder Tyrant quickly recovered, rising into the air once more. Though consumed by grief and rage at the loss of its offspring, the beast's instinct told it that if it fought head-on, it would likely die!
"Rooooar…"
Flapping its disproportionately small wings, the elder Tyrant hovered in mid-air.
Its six blood-red, cross-pupiled eyes locked onto Sebas with a predatory gaze, its throat emitting a low, threatening growl filled with murderous intent.
"Unscathed? No… its wounds have already healed. What terrifying cellular vitality."
Seeing the elder Tyrant still full of vigor, Sebas frowned slightly. Even after withstanding such power, the beast remained unharmed. This was the strongest danger species Sebas had ever encountered.
"As expected of a legendary super-danger species. The strength of its adult form… seems I'll have to get serious."
Boom!
...
Boom boom boom—!
In the snow forest, the deafening sounds of battle continued...
Suddenly, buzzing filled the air as space rippled and distorted. A portal, glowing with purple light, opened, and Selene stepped out. "Sebas, are you… um, are you brawling with a danger species?"
The scene before her made Selene's eye twitch involuntarily. Although Sebas was still impeccably dressed in his black butler's uniform, without a single crease or speck of dirt, what she saw was shocking.
At Sebas' feet lay a massive Tyrant, gasping weakly. Its four limbs were shattered, its wings had been forcibly torn off, and its body was covered in fatal wounds, with blood pooling everywhere.
Not far away lay the dismembered body of the smaller Tyrant.
And all around them, for kilometers, the snow forest looked as though it had been hit by a cataclysm. What had once been a dense woodland had been leveled by Sebas, leaving a field of uneven craters, each one larger than the last.
"Miss, your humble servant did not fail in his task. I have captured two Tyrant. This should provide sufficient material for Dr. Stylish's future experiments."
Sebas waved cheerfully at Selene, his face adorned with a kind smile.
"I think you were just itching for a fight. So, how did it feel to beat up a Tyrant?" Selene asked as she gently descended in front of Sebas, her tone suspicious.
"Haha... you caught me, Miss. I have indeed been feeling a bit restless lately, so I used them as punching bags to test my skills," Sebas said with a smile.
"Alright, alright..." Selene thought to herself. And he's always telling me to fight with elegance. Turns out he's just as violent when no one's watching!
"Enough, Sebas. Gather the Tyrant materials. It's time to return... The war with the northern barbarians is over."
