Chapter 94 - Chapter 2 [Volume: 2] -[Stark Gamers]

Jon looked carefully at his opponent, the mercenary about two meters tall moved his sword from one side to the other looking for an opening, he had been in Volantis for two days, and this was the first job he had, well more like a test, code red mercenaries required a combat test with foreigners.

Ghost was at the entrance door watching the fight carefully, the mercenary swung his sword. Jon stopped him and counterattacked by hitting his jaw with his fist.

The mercenary staggered but recovered easily. Jon had problems, the mercenary was very big and he did not want to use lethal blows, for fear of killing him and having the rest of the men kill him.

"Critical hit," the boy whispered.

The mercenary attacked and Jon counterattacked, slightly injuring his shoulder, but the force of the blow caused it to break and he fell to the ground in pain. Jon realized that everything had disappeared in a second, the mercenary's screams disappeared and he found himself in the white room.

Jon approached the console.

{Congratulations, you have leveled up!

You have one skill point to spend.}

The boy looked curiously and tapped on his character screen.

{Name: Jon Snow

Title: None

Skill Points: 1

Level: 2 (0/50)

Health: 200/200

Mana: 100/100

Attributes: Low

Skills: 1

Swordsmanship Level: 1}

He saw that his health increased by 100 points and his mana by 50. That was done, because he had a physical ability, and that is why his health increased more than his mana, Jon had read that the attributes increased depending on the abilities he had, If instead of a physical ability he had had a magical one, his mana would be higher than his health.

Per level, he increased 50 points of health and mana, but if he had a physical ability he increased 100 health, 50 for the level and 50 for the ability he had, while if he had a mana, it would be the other way around he would increase 100 mana.

As for his skills, he had already decided what kind of magic he wanted on the trip. And the boy pressed skills and tapped the one he wanted.

{You have selected the Summoning Magic skill.

Do you want to gain the Summoning Magic skill at level 1?

Yes/No}

Jon pressed yes.

{Summoning Magic Level: 1}

All magical skills give magic points to the player every time they level up. As levels rise, magic points, such as intelligence, wisdom, and mana, increase. You have several summons per level, but not always the same number per level. Summons are experts with animals and/or objects.

This ability has two improvements.

Jon felt his legs fail and he fell to the ground, a severe headache appeared and made him dizzy, he felt like vomiting from the dizziness, while his hands burned as if they were on fire. A few seconds later everything disappeared and the boy saw that the monitor changed phrases.

{Summoning Magic Level: 1

Cost: 100 mana per spell.

Peasants: Peasants come of both sexes, and are useful for cultivating, cooking, cleaning, or gathering resources such as wood, all work they do gives experience to the user.

Architects: Architects come of both sexes, capable of building, each one comes with ten construction workers, all work they do gives experience to the user.

Housing Acceleration: Speeds up the construction process, a day's work to an hour.

Survival: Crop seeds, farming tools, building plans, plans for agricultural and livestock fields, house plans, port plans.}

[T/N: Ok, so the system is going for power in numbers/ a kingdom this time instead of individual power. Probably influenced by how the previous save ended.]

The boy blinked, what good would that do, but then shrugged, he would do something.

 He pressed exit.

The mercenaries looked at him and applauded.

"You are strong, there is no doubt, not many can break shoulders so easily" the leader, a man named Ramon, told him.

Jon sighed when he saw that the test was over.

"Ned...Ned" the man heard when he felt hands move him.

The man opened his eyes and turned to his side, he saw his wife pushing him, looking around nervously.

"Cat," he whispered and turned, he was on the floor of a strange room, all white.

[T/N: F*CKS SAKE!!!]

"What the hell?" he muttered.

"Ned," she whispered, hugging him.

"What happened?" he asked.

"I don't know, I woke up here next to you, on the floor," she murmured.

Ned got up, his wife followed him, there were no doors or windows.

"It can't be," he murmured, remembering the conversation he had with Jon days before his departure, about his magic and the room that gave him his powers.

He looked forward and saw some kind of black crystal.

"The computer," he whispered.

"Computer?" his wife asked.

"Cat, I think I know where we are, but you must keep this secret," he said.

[T/N: She's following the seven, the f*cking fool will out you all.]

She nodded.

Ned explained the real reason why Jon left, talking about her husband's bastard has never been pleasant for her, but she listened and looked with uncertainty.

"How do we get out?" she asked.

"Jon told me that the computer gives you your abilities, and takes you out of the room," Ned remembered and went to the console.

The man pressed and the letters changed.

"Oh, like Jon said," he murmured.

He pressed skills.

[T/N: I'm not putting it back here, it doesn't matter if you guys see the full list. It was in the first chapter.]

"Magic, can you use magic?" she asked curiously.

Ned nodded but opted for Swordsmanship, it was more his style after all.

You have selected the skill, Swordsmanship.

Do you want to gain the Swordsmanship skill at level 1?

Yes/No}

Ned pressed yes.

{Swordsmanship Level: 1

Ned felt his muscles explode with pain, dozens of images appeared in his mind, sword movements, attack, and defense, the man looked at his wife who looked at him with horror but smiled and looked at the screen.

{Swordsmanship Level: 1

"It was all true," he whispered.

"Can we go?" she asked, somewhat annoyed.

Ned nodded and pressed exit, but nothing happened.

"Why isn't anything happening?" he muttered.

Catelyn looked at everything nervously.

"Maybe? Cat come here for a second" she steeled herself.

"Touch the screen," he said.

"Why?" she asked.

"It's okay Cat, it's okay. I'm here," he reassured her.

She sighed and touched the screen. The letters changed right away. The woman took a step away, but then came closer to see what it was saying.

"Her mana and health points are lower," Ned thought as he read.

Catelyn pressed skills.

{Archery

Light Weapons

Healer

"They are different," she whispered.

"Pick one," Ned asked.

The woman thought and opted for what was most convenient for her.

You have selected the Negotiator skill.

Yes/No}

Cat pressed yes.

{Negotiator Level: 1

The woman looked curious and then pressed exit, she felt herself being pushed down and landed on her bed.

"Ned," she whispered.

"I'm here, we're back," he said next to her.

"My lord," he heard his maester behind the door.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Bad news, Lord Jon Arryn is dead," he heard in shock.

Ned got up and opened the door. The old maester gave him the letter.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Apparently...Robert is coming here"

Jon sighed tiredly, as he walked through the cave, he had been tasked with finding some mercenaries and eliminating them, supposedly thieves who robbed a noble.

He looked forward when he heard voices.

"It's a mirror, we stole a fucking mirror," one said.

Jon saw them, they were three mercenaries, in front of them was a small golden mirror.

"It's gold," another clarified.

"It's not worth shit, much less our lives," said the third.

The first nodded.

"What's done is done, we sell it in Pentos and we leave," said the second.

Jon looked next to him at Ghost.

"Ready," he whispered.

The wolf was on guard.

"You're on the right and I'm on the left," Jon clarified and ran towards the mercenaries.

"What is that?" said one of them until he was attacked by Ghost.

The others were on guard. Jon was heading towards them.

"Critical hit," he muttered.

One attacked him, but Jon easily dodged their attack, and counterattacked by piercing their stomach.

"You're dead," said the third mercenary, pointing the sword at him and then falling to the ground before Ghost, who bit his leg and then his throat.

Jon smiled at the wolf and it approached.

"Not bad, for our first mission, I can't believe they sent me to look for a mirror, although more incredible are these idiots who stole it," he whispered.

Jon checked the mercenaries and noticed that they had the same bronze coins that he obtained from those he killed outside White Harbor.

"Could something in the game not look like an Essos coin?" he thought.

Jon approached to take the mirror, and when he touched it, it lit up, blinding his eyes.

The boy groaned in pain and began to open his eyes, he saw that he was no longer in the cave, he was in a large room. It was a strange room.

"Where am I?" he murmured.

[T/N: OH SHIT!! It could be either that the game has sent out mirrors to all of the noble houses that they need to protect to have access to the game or it is some sort of challenge from the game/ a god. Either one would certainly up the difficulty, though I would hate the first one, what's the point of writing the story in Game of Thrones then.]

"King Robert is arriving in a few days," she whispered.

"I didn't ask him to come," Ned clarified.

"You know what he's coming for, asking you to be his hand," she said.

"A good opportunity, don't you think? Your sister thinks it was the Lannisters? " Ned said.

"I don't want you to go to the king's landing, it's a snake pit and the Lannisters rule it," she said.

"Don't worry, I know what to do, I can't leave Robert alone with them, I'll go, I'll investigate, if there's nothing I'll come back soon," he promised.

"I don't want you to die," she said.

"I won't,"
