As they stood just outside the library, the conversation had begun to trail off, but Kaminari's mischievous grin sparked immediate suspicion in the group.
"You know what? We should do something fun before tomorrow," he suggested, leaning casually against a lamppost. There was a glint in his eye, the kind that told Sota and the others that something was up. "I've got a place we could go, but…" He let the sentence hang, intentionally vague, a devilish smile spreading across his face.
Koenji shot him a sidelong glance. "You're making it sound like we're going somewhere sketchy. What's this about, Kaminari?"
"Yeah, man, quit being cryptic," Sota added, crossing his arms. "If you're planning to drag us into something weird, just say it upfront."
Kaminari chuckled, enjoying the suspicion he'd stirred up. "Relax, relax. It's not that bad. We're just heading to the batting center. Unless you're too scared to show me up?"
