Rey Reed Smith has never felt so infuriated like this before. Ever since he had arrived in the Middle Land, he had never felt this urge to kill before. He had felt something else when he first fought in the arena, visited Dragon Island, and fought in the jousting lane. He had felt the strength of Lord Rey in his body. But this was different.
Rey was sure that this wasn't the urge of the god that possessed him; it was his anger. The urge to kill, to avenge, and to make things right. He felt like going on a killing spree. It was unlike anything he had ever experienced before.
They were supposed to be going through the other side of the woods, through the plain of Eos that was located between Ajax and Moab. But Rey had chosen this particular route when he sniffed the fresh scent of blood. At first, he wanted to ignore it, thinking that it was just some hunters hunting in the woods. When the scent became unbearable, followed by the scent of sulfur and brimstone, Rey decided to track the scent.
Now, here he was. He was standing in an open field on the other side of the woods. Stretching ahead of him was the ruined town of Moab, with all the people murdered mercilessly. From afar, Rey could see those that raided the town falling bricks and digging a long hole. They wanted to give the people a mass burial.
"This is one of the reasons I brought you here," Lord Rey said in his head. "You're not here to free the people from the curse of Xavier Knoll alone; you're to redeem them, give them hope, and free them from all the mighty villains that are threatening them."
Rey ignored the voice of Lord Rey and kept riding further into the ruined city. He heard Garry sniffing in front of him. Rey Reed Smith needed no one to tell him that he was crying. He couldn't blame him or stop him. The scene ahead of them is enough to make him shed tears. Rey himself was trying to control his emotions. He was trying his best not to break down.
Worst of all, those killers were not giving their victims a proper burial. The thought of that fed his rage and boosted his urge for revenge, and Rey Reed Smith leaped down from the horse involuntarily.
The ten men who were digging the grave sensed his presence, and they turned around to face him. From the look on Rey Reed Smith's face, they need no one to tell them he is a threat. They could smell the aura that was radiating from his body. It's a death aura.
A few feet away, the ten hardened werewolves snarled and gnashed their teeth before they transformed. Their faces became hairy, their fangs grew, and long claws sprouted out of their fingers. They became big and went on their knees like dogs.
"Should I lend you some hand?" Rey Reed heard Lord Rey asking in his head. "With my power, you will finish them within a minute. None of them will even see you moving."
Rey shakes his head and removes his shirt. "If you want to help me," he said, removing his trousers, too. "I need the beast that fought against you in my subconsciousness."
"I'll release your hellhound power, but on one condition," Lord Rey said back, telepathically. By now, the ten werewolves were jogging toward Rey. "I won't release your memory with it."
Rey hissed, "Agreed."
Instantly, one of the werewolves lunged at him with his front leg that was hosting a claw. As he reached a foot away from Rey, he spread his arm and aimed for Rey's head, getting ready to tear it apart.
At the last second, Rey felt a great strength unlike before. He felt a strange power twirling at the bottom of his stomach. He felt something like electricity coursing through his body and spreading around him like wildfire. Rey felt like a newborn baby without sin. He also felt light, like someone who had never eaten before. He felt as if he were levitating in the air.
As the first werewolf attacked him, Rey stretched his hand forward and grabbed the werewolf in midair. He clasped his hand tightly to the werewolf's neck, holding it tightly as if his life depended on it, squeezing the life out of the werewolf.
At the same time, another werewolf dove at Rey. Despite its speed, Rey saw it moving slowly, like a baby taking his first step. He easily stretched his hand and grabbed the other werewolf on the neck just like he did to the first one. With one hand each, Rey squeezed their necks harder, and the two werewolves were dangling like a dry log in his grip.
The rest halted ten paces away from Rey and looked at him in awe. He was holding two huge werewolves with a hand each, and none of them could escape his grip. They were at his mercy, dangling like a cockroach that was caught in a spider's web. It's a shocking scene for them.
"I'm Alpha Rey Reed Smith!!!" Rey howled, his voice piercing the ears of the werewolves and piercing their eardrums. "I don't like cheating, and I hate bullies."
As soon as Rey finished saying those speeches, his eyes turned red before blazing with fire. With a little effort, he slapped the two werewolves together, and they went limp. However, Rey Reed Smith has not yet released them. In the blink of an eye, the rest of his body blazed with fire. His hellhound power emerged and burned the two werewolves in Rey's grip to ashes.
"I'm the Alpha of all Alphas!" Rey Reed roared at the top of his voice.
No, it's not Rey Reed Smith's voice; it's the voice of a deadly creature. It was the voice of the hellhound. The anger in his voice shows that he has been caged for a long time and needs to unleash his full wrath on something. It was like a volcano erupting from the depths of the earth.
"Not every hellhound belongs in hell!" The beast in Rey's mind said, and turned to give the remaining eight hardened werewolves a death glare. "You might be a century old with tough training, but I'm more than a thousand years old. I came from hell itself. I was trained by the devil. I'm the new gatekeeper after Lord Drax and Marcarìa Hades, daughter of Persephone. This is where my origin begins! How dare you trespass on my land?"
As soon as the hellhound finished saying this, it disappeared. No, it didn't disappear. It was running with a great speed, unlike anything the werewolves have ever seen or witnessed. The hellhound was the fastest creature they had ever seen.
The hellhound grabbed a werewolf and tore it apart like pieces of paper. He snatched one from the ground and threw it away with immense strength. He spun around, placed his hand on the head of a werewolf, and burned it to ashes. The hellhound thrust his claw into the heart of a werewolf and burned his heart, making the latter collapse.
Seeing this, the remaining four werewolves veered around; and fled. They harnessed their speed and tried their best to get far away from Rey Reed Smith.
"Wolves will never learn," The hellhound snarled.
He took three steps forward, and snatched two werewolves before slamming them together. Before the remaining two wolves could reach their pack, the hellhound caught up with them, and burnt them to ashes.
In the blink of an eye, the hellhound has killed ten amongst the hardened werewolves that were trained by Dylan for a hundred days.
In the twinkle of an eye, the hellhound went after the thirty wolves that came with Brandon and Linda. Before any one of them could blink, the hellhound began his massacre. He was unstoppable. He was a hard beast to tame.
