Looking up at the freshly appeared screen Thorne excitement from beating the goblin instantly wore off.
[Congratulations! You survived the first part of the tutorial. Oops, I must have forgotten to mention that there were more parts. Please forgive! :p]
Thorne couldn't help but feel his whole body tense up and his blood started to boil from rage. The stupid emoji at the end was more than enough for him to start cursing out the system. After calming down a little bit he contiuned to read through the message that he felt like had been sent for the devil himself.
[Well anyways, more information will be given to you after you finish the second and last part of the tutorial. Yes, it is the last part.] A wave of relief washed over Thorne's face.
[I wish you luck on the 2nd part of the Tutorial. You see I thought it would be more fun for challengers to go through the tutorial backwards and test their skills. It gave the viewers way more enjoyment to watch, you especially Thorne. Good Luck!.]
Reading through the last part of the message was like getting slammed in the face by the goblin, he actually would have rather welcomed the death of the makeshift club over learning more about the predicament he was in. Learning that he was not only forced to fight to the death with monster's that were way stronger than him, he is also being watched by a force that he has no information about.
Now knowing just how messed up this new reality was he started to hope that it was just a dream, even though deep down he knew that it was impossible for him to feel the pain of being bit and scratched without waking up.
In front of him the boss goblin disappeared into dust and in its place appeared a pair of forearm bracers. He walked over to pick them up and inspected them.
[Makeshift Arm Bracers (Common) - Arm bracers made by a very unskilled craftsman, provide very little defense but allow for excellent mobility.
Properties: [Minor Speed - Provides the wearer with a almost unnoticeable increase in speed.]
Reading through the description he was surprised to find that there was a form of enchantment on the bracers. He expected that with monsters, systems, and portals he would eventually find out some kind of magic exists. He put on the bracers and found that he felt very slightly lighter, the description was very accurate to the extent the buff increased.
When he went to take them off he found that just thinking removing them caused them to disappear similar to the way the goblin did, which led to Thorne figuring out he could just think about equipping them and they would appear wrapped around his arms. He also noticed that the item tab in his system had added the bracers to it section.
Abruptly, a portal in the shape of a door appeared in front of him just like the one that sucked him in when he went out for his morning run. He knew that the portal would either take him to the next tutorial part or give him somewhere to rest, but because of the way that the System had talked to him he wasn't going to risk anything and decided to give himself a break in case it took to another nightmare cave like the one he had just barely cleared.
Even though the system had recovered all of his injuries there was still mental fatigue that caused him to feel as though he ran a marathon. After around 30 minutes of uncomfortable rest on the hard ground he entered the portal. As he did it felt like his body disappeared and when he looked around there was nothing but empty void and yet he could still see.
In front of him was another screen with two options:
[Rest] [Continue]
He thought about it for a bit and decided to continue. His body was in peak physical condition and his mind was starting feel fresh. As he thought about his choice his body was swept into a grassy field. He looked around in every direction but besides the training dummy and rack of weapons in front of him the grass plains stretched forever.
[Mission: Tutorial Part 2]
[Description: Complete the objective - (Attack the Training Dummy 100 times with each weapon on the rack.)]
[Reward: 200 Coins, Weapon of Choice (Common)]
[Failure: Death]
Thorne felt like the quest was easy enough, but that was what made him worry. He thought of all the possibilities that could happen, like the training dummy actually being a man eating monsters, which was easily dismissed because the dummy had no aura. Just in case he had summoned his bracers and prepared to fight.
Thorne walked over to the weapon rack that consisted of 6 melee weapons. Sword, Dagger, Spear, Mace, Warhammer, and Axe. He was relived that he was not forced to use any weapons that required extensive training such as a bow or crossbows. Thorne picked up the sword and walked over towards the dummy expecting some kind of trap or attack, but was again met with a disappointment that he welcomed.
The simple longsword in his hand felt heavy and unfamiliar to him. He had never held any swords in the past and it felt uncomfortable to even lift the sword up. Eventually he got into a stance that allowed him to strike the dummy with a straight downward slash. As he begin he started to count in his head.

By the time he got to 20 it felt like his whole body had just been hit by a car. He stopped and took a break, while in the cave he had noticed that he never felt hungry or thirsty which he was able to attribute to the adrenaline he had coursing through his veins, but now that he had now adrenaline he still didn't feel the familiar itches. He quickly put his thought on hold as he was going back to do another set of slashes.
Every swing made him feel more comfortable and every break he reflected on his technique and improved every time. His last 40 flew by because of how easy it had become to swing the sword. Eventually he lost himself in his training and found him self in the flow state. That was until he picked up the spear...
