AMELIA’S P.O.V
As soon as Kaden left the house, I jumped out of bed and got dressed. I was eager to get to the library because I held onto the hope that it would have all the answers I was looking for. A part of me couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if I didn’t happen to find what I wanted but I tried to shut it out. There was no use being negative and potentially ruining my entire day.
My phone rang just as I got out of the bathroom and I picked it up without looking at the caller ID. “Did you get it?”
I knew immediately that it was Clara and I nodded momentarily forgetting that she couldn’t see me. “Yeah, I did. I’m getting ready to leave right now.”
“Do you want me to come with you?” she asked. “It might be more helpful if you have two hands on deck instead of one.”
