Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Unrestrained [Long Chapter]

"These ... What can I even call them now?" In his mind, Zuigao spoke. He fell asleep a few minutes ago due to a headache. But was abruptly startled out of sleep by a new prisoner who had broken into the cage above. Silently, Zuigao wondered why. The explanation is that the bastard, engulfed in self-pity, was just jealous of him whenever he enjoyed a peaceful moment. Even though that greatly annoyed Zuigao, he maintained his neutral demeanor and chose not to debate further with this suspicious man, even at the risk of either giving him a severe headache or beating him to a pulp.

[After Two Days]

#####

Now it was dawning. Zuigao wakes up early because of the cool breezes.

After a quick peek at the new prisoner, Zuigao simply fell back asleep.

With whom was... Jacking off.

Still putting on a brave face, this sent him to sleep once more.

He could barely articulate the strange feelings he was experiencing. Casting a sidelong glance, he noticed him fix his gaze on the ladies.

While this depraved person was jacking, a portion of their ripped clothing was exposing their privates.

Disregarding their circumstances and status.

Something about this lack of seriousness pisses Zuigao off a bit.

"This ... What kind of animal behavior is this?"

Pushing himself to ignore the groans and other sounds made by this degenerate, he questioned.

Containing his irritation from growing much more.

That was how he passed an hour trying desperately to fall asleep, unable to focus on anything but the groans of this deviant.

The #####

"Wake up you tiny wrench!!"

"A-argh who?!"

"You know you forgot where you were? Get up or I'll thrash you around!"

After a few hours, the headache's after-effects caused Zuigao to wake up somewhat mentally weak.

He could hear faint applause coming from behind him. Beyond the barrier and into the realm.

These noises have such an upbeat tone and are so full of happiness and enthusiasm.

"Myself ... Get ready for a nightmare"

The man who had taken a few hours off and the worthless ladies were totally untrustworthy, so he gave himself a boost.

Totally and entirely.

Opening his eyes fully, he surveys his surroundings and finds little has changed aside from the faint light beams emanating from the rear entrance.

The audience behind the wall continued to cheer as it gradually increased in volume to ever greater heights.

He was, for the most part, mentally prepared for whatever kind of nightmare he was going to confront.

He looks from the frightened, nervous man resting against the wall to the two marginally at ease women.

The women appeared perfectly at ease, but there was a hint of relief, as if a threat had not materialized.

This immediately made Zuigao aware of it.

In addition to being doubtful, he was aware that something would happen.

Their superiors did not want them to get engaged.

Perhaps the supervisors didn't want these excellent things to go bad.

Perhaps it had more to do with appearances. Since the women were freed from this situation, it meant... It was something that would physically cause pain.

Although the supervisors didn't want that, they were interested in finding out how much the slaves their clients were planning to purchase.

They will get a great view of the combat skills of the male slaves.

A lot of high-level auctions won't work like way because of unforeseen circumstances.

However, this city was ranked fifth. Generally, they followed these kinds of customs.

But Zuigao was unaware of that at the time.

It wasn't long before the guards started going inside the cages and around the rear of them.

However, these were useless words. Zuigao observed the guards unlocking the locks on the doors at the back of the cages. With a grim expression, the silver guard stood motionless. Zuigao turned his feeble eyes away from him and toward the floor. Drained by being without food.

#####

The same food was placed back in front of him after thirty minutes, but this time there was more water in the cup.

He just swallowed the food and water down to his stomach, whatever the reason. The energy from the food started to flow through his body, relieving his headache.

Time elapses.

#####

The guard and the other man outside the cage were now leading Zuigao.

Leaving the cage and coming to a sudden stop at the new, bright contrast to the gloom within.

With weak eyes, Zuigao scanned the spectators strewn throughout the arena.

He had bags under his eyes and hardly any lids.

The combat areas were within a minimum of a thirty-meter radius from the doors.

On the battle stage, the ground level was at least 0.5 meters higher.

Glancing around, he saw numerous more doors open and male slaves emerge.

Next, he turned to face the arena's north side.

Three enormous banners were flowing in various colors.

The red banner was there first. It said "Bai" and a man in his late twenties wearing a red robe sat next to it.

His aura hovered over the Qi tempering stage's Yin-Yang realm.

He was the Bai Clan's Clan Leader.

Another man, much younger than him, sat next to him. There was a golden banned with the word "Shi" engraved on it facing his back.

At the height of the Qi Tempering stage, he had a prominent nose bridge, pointed eyebrows, and a yellow-colored robe.

He was the Shi Clan's Clan Leader.

Beside him was a spotless white flag with the word "Wu" inscribed on it.

Wu Clan Leader was the oldest of the three and wore a white robe. His eyes were piercing and his beard was little but growing.

The offspring of nearly every clan head were present.

The leader of the Bai Clan had an attractive and youthful 19-year-old son. He was dressed in a crimson robe, just like his father.

He was in the vicinity of the Qi tempering stage.

The Shi Clan Leader's daughter, who was about twenty years old, stood next to him. Her aura was more intense than the Bai Clan elder's.

Wu Clan Leader is sitting next to his only daughter. Of the three, her aura was the thinnest.

She was also the youngest of the three.

She was still in the vicinity of the Qi Tempering Stage, though. She looked cute and had brown hair.

After glancing at every clan leader and their offspring in attendance, Zuigao lowered his head. He realized that he would lose if he continued to look at these people who were far higher up the social scale.

Zuigao also cast a glance about.

The rough, light brown rocks made up the majority of the battle stage.

The ground was level and devoid of tiles.

It didn't take long for the announcer—clad in pricey yellow robes—to appear in the center and make a clear announcement that was audible to everyone.

"Ladies and gentlemen, young and old, elders and children, today we celebrate the grand finale of our festival! Join us for an incredible entertainment lineup, and witness the evaluation of our talented participants, who will receive well-deserved recognition and prizes."

It made it abundantly evident to all citizens what the goal of this competition was.

"Our first time is..." the announcer continued, pulling a paper out of his pocket.

He paused for a little while to heighten the suspense before announcing, "First-tier slave Zuigao Qingxu vs. second-tier slave Qie Tong!"

Before being violently shoved and entering the stage by the silver guards, Zuigao turned to face the platform. His right arm had a tiny layer of frost on it, his hair was a bit ruffled, his body was a touch pale, and he had deep eye bags.

Zuigao's gaze fixed upon the new arrival, a second-tier slave who had just entered the stage. The man appeared slightly older and more muscular than him, with a rugged robe and a hint of a beard. His eyes held a wild, almost crazed look, giving him an air of unpredictability.

As the announcer made his way to the edge of the stage, tension mounted in the air. "3....2....1... Fight!" he declared, and with those words, the man called Qie Tong launched himself forward with inhuman speed, aiming a powerful punch at Zuigao, who narrowly managed to evade it.

Qie Tong pressed on relentlessly, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks with astonishing precision. The speed and accuracy of his attacks caught the inexperienced Zuigao off guard, leaving him struggling to find his footing and turn the tide of the battle.

Zuigao unleashed a flurry of punches, but his opponent, Qie Tong, moved with incredible speed and precision, effortlessly dodging and countering each attack. Frustration boiled within Zuigao as he realized that every punch he threw was either blocked or met with a devastating counter. Despite his desperate efforts, Qie Tong seemed to have the upper hand, his strikes leaving Zuigao feeling numb and overwhelmed.

It was clear that Qie Tong possessed a natural prowess for combat, but was he truly on par with Zuigao's level of cultivation? No, he wasn't. However, Qie Tong seized the opportunity, pressing the advantage and pushing Zuigao to the brink. As the battle raged on, it became a contest of stamina and willpower. Both combatants were evenly matched in terms of cultivation, and Qie Tong sought to exploit his superior martial arts skills against his younger adversary.

But Zuigao refused to back down. Gritting his teeth, he persevered.

The battle soon began to wane on Qie Tong's side, and then Zuigao attacked with fury, sending Qie Tong flying and causing him to fall to the ground with a thud. *Crack* Silent cracks would be heard. Zuigao didn't stop, he ran without backing down, and when he reached Qie Tong, his fist landed on his enemy's head, still recovering from the pain of having his bones broken. Moved his fist; it had a little bit of blood on it, and as the audience gasped and covered their children's eyes while the elders sighed in sympathy, Zuigao rained down fists in a frenzied manner.

Soon, it wasn't long before the tide of the battle died down on the side of Qie Tong.

It was soon that Zuigao attacked with ferocity, and his full power sent Qie Tong flying, and he fell to the ground with a thud.

*Crack*

Silent cracks would be heard.

Zuigao didn't stop, he ran without backing down. Reaching Qie Tong, his fist landed on the head of his enemy still recovering from the pain of having his bones broken.

Moved his fist; it had a little bit of blood on it.

As the audience gasped and covered the eyes of their children while the elders sighed in pity.

Zuigao rained down fists in a frenzy.

His opponent screamed and hugged his waist before using all his strength to push him back.

Zuigao sends his fist onto the back of Qie Tong with his full strength.

Not stopping, he sent more fists until Qie's bones cracked as his body jolted in pain.

Zuigao picked up his hair and *rip*.

"Arrrgghhhhhh!!!!"

The man screamed in pain as he screamed further and began to rain down fists on Zuigao like a madman.

In a rage, Zuigao threw down his fists.

With a cry of pain, his opponent grabbed his waist and pushed him back with all of his might.

Using all of his strength, Zuigao pumps his fist onto Qie Tong's back.

He did not stop, sending more punches till Qie's body shook in anguish and his bones snapped.

Picking up his hair, Zuigao let out a *rip*.

"Arrrgghhhhhh!!!!"

The man started to yell more in agony as he started to pummel Zuigao with fists like a crazy person.

The man attempted to perform the same act on Zuigao, but Zuigao threw me to the ground and punched his face until he was gone. *Crack* The man screamed in pain, "Arerrrrggghhhhhhh!!!! Iiiiiii aaaammmm GGGGOOOIIINNHBH TO FFUUVCKKIINN KIIILLLL YYYOOUUUU AAARRGGGHHHHHHH." Zuigao kept punching until the man became bulbous, his teeth fell out as he coughed up blood. Zuigao stared at the man sternly, his eyes wide open, revealing the void inside like pupils. The man attempted to fight again while sobbing, but Zuigao picked up his remaining hair and... *Rip* "AaaaarrrrGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!" The man screamed, but Zuigao sent a fist on his face, forcing him to stop.

The announcer soon sends a burst of Qi that forces Zuigao to fall to the ground with a cry of pain.

With a menacing glare, Zuigao meets the announcer's hard gaze.

As he sends another wave of Qi that Zuigao tries to block, the announcer scoffs.

However, the Qi launches him skyward, striking the wall outside the stadium and close to the entrance he entered.

He hits the walls and falls with a loud bang.

After that, he coughs up blood.

Zuigao glares fiercely as he glances at the announcer.

"One day. Maybe in the future. I'm going to murder you. in the most excruciating manner. I'm going to pierce his eyeballs and put my fingers in his hollow sockets.

The tournament didn't went quite as the Clan Leaders want it to be....
