When Camille Ferros left the Branch of the Ferros Clan in the Cartharys, Albus Ferros miraculously exited his hiding space, as he arrived exactly only a few seconds after his cousin left the place.
It was a rather sad coincidence.
But what has happened was already done.
Albus also brought Valkorion some pieces of the spatial equipment and around one thousand Gold Dragon Coins for the items that he brought to him, namely the Extraordinary Core of Sequence 7 spider aberration, and some Ingredeitns from the Ettercaps and other spider creatures and some Bugbears that were altogether worth of 300 Gold Dragon Coins.
The next thing that he chose was the Dimensional Bag for his purposes, which cost him around the already mentioned one thousand Gold Dragon Coins, but it was very large, perhaps enough to fit a few horses inside if they were dead.
Unfortenly, these kinds of things couldn't store living beings, only the dead ones.
Still, it was rather a good buy because he finally obtained Dimanisonl Storage and wouldn't need to carry everything in his backpack like some kind of barbarian. From now on, he could just store everything in the Dimensional Storage, he wished that he could buy one sooner, but some things could be hardly bought even with money.
Dimensional Storages were very rare in the Valyrian Freehold, and thus, they were rarely sold publicly, and there was a huge shortage of them. Most of them were directly sold to the customers who ordered them, or they were shipped to the rich magisters of the City-States or Nobles of Westeros who could afford them.
Even here in the Valyrian Freehold, one needed to have a certain degree of connection to buy a Dimensional Storage of sufficient quality, so even for Valkorion, it was a rather arduous task, even if he had a good relationship with Albus Ferros.
"I still can't wrap my head around how you can get along with my cousin..."
The man in question muttered as he poured himself some hard alcoholic drink, most likely Fire Whiskey, and sat down on the armchair opposite Valkorion. For Albus Ferros, it was just an impossible scenario that he would see his cousin getting along with someone, and she was even smiling.
For some reason, he was so crept by the sight in front of him that he rather chose to leave and examine the Extraordinary Cores of the Sequence 7 Extraordinary Creatures and the rest of the ingredients that Valkorion brought back from the Painted Mountains.
"Shut up, she was rather kind woman."
Valkorion stated neutrally as he, too, poured himself one glass of the Fire Whiskey as It was a drink that he liked and rarely drank, as it was rather pricy. One bottle cost several tens of Gold Dragon Coins because the alcohol was rather magical in nature, created by Beyonder with some Spells.
"Maybe to you, normally she is far from being amiable..."
Unfortunately to Valkorion, Albus was indeed speaking the truth because it was a very rare thing to see Camille even smiling and chatting with someone, especially a man...
Now that he was thinking about it, he looked at Valkorion, who was drinking the Fire Whiskey, and looked around; something was bugging Albus too much. As he was looking at his friend, suddenly he was entirely overcome by dread, but soon enough he found himself smiling too much...
'Yeah, if they could get together, she would finally leave us all alone for most of the part, and the jailer would be out... yeah, yeah, that is a good solid plan; now it only needs to work out. Hopefully, it is like I am thinking it is...'
Albus was momentarily grinning like a fool as he was already scheming and creating a way to get his cousin from his back. She was like a bloodhound, constantly on the alert and always somehow knowing when someone was slacking off from his duties.
She was that good at it to the point where it was becoming more and more annoying.
"Why have you started grinning like a mentally retarded?"
Valkorion asked when Albus started grinning like an idiot out of nowhere, but seeing him happy, he left it be and rather finished his drink of Fire Whiskey.
"Nothing that you should be concerned with, my dearest friend,"
Albus said nonchalantly, silently praying for the very own soul of Valkorion Nerona. He didn't even know how many potential suitors his sister had already rejected, and some more courageous ones were even beaten by her in a duel.
Within the Valyrian Freehold, the social standing of women wasn't like in Westeros, where it was mainly tied to the teachings of the Church of the Seven, but within the Valyria, women had more rights and freedoms and, of course... power.
Albus's sister Camille rejected every single potential suitor that her parents suggested, be it the descendants of the Dragonlord Families who lost to her in a duel because she challenged them to fight or the Heirs of the Valyrian Noble Houses or Mercantile Clans of the Freehold whom she called unworthy of her attention.
He knew that Camille had some sort of grand ambition, far grander than anyone from the Ferros Clan had before, and she was rather confident and decided to see them coming to fruition, whatever the cost.
"Whatever, if you say so... now I should be going; I still have some things to do. Please notify me when you have the auction date for the Extraordianry Core of Seuqence 7 Mutated Bugbear."
Valkorion and Albus then exchanged some pleasantries before Valkorrion left the Branch of the Ferros Clan. As Albus Ferros watched the departing back of his friend, he needed to make sure that his cousin would get together with Valkorion, and then voa la...
He would have some breathing room from his overly controlling and annoying cousin.
Not to mention, for Albus, it was obvious that Valkorion was a perfect match for Camille; both of them were rather similar, be it in their approach to their work; as Albus heard, Valkorion was a killing machine when it came to monsters in the Painted Mountains.
Who else would make the fortune of three thousand Gold Dragon Coins from killing goblins and other trash monsters that were barely worth a coin?
Yet there was indeed someone.
And then there was the fact that by all accounts, Valkorion was a rather talented Beyonder, and he had enough power to defeat Sequence 7 Mutated Extraordinary Create even though his Pathway was constraining him as it was a "late bloomer" in the early Sequences.
"Now I just need to engineer more opportunities for them to meet... hmm... how should we do it..."
Albus muttered to himself as he stroked his mustache, unaware that the two people who were the objects of his schemes had already exchanged Runic Numbers of their Glass Candles.
He didn't even want to think if either of them discovered it.
He was sure that his cousin would probably skin him alive, and Valkorion didn't have the best reputation around because if he was angered, he was known to be especially brutal from the rumors and even from his own accounts when he beat to death several people who were once harassing them in the tavern.
