Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: Come on! Take it off and Let Me See

"Please get up. Actually, your children were not saved by us. We don't deserve the thanks," said Jun Anyi, lifting the man from the ground with a subtle use of her energy.

The woman named Muzi, who followed behind, didn't stop but entered the police station, as Jun Anyi explained, "Her ability is plant-based. Although we can't help with blood transfusions, she can ensure that there is no risk to life."

The man, understanding that these two were superhumans, felt relieved that his children were safe. After his emotions calmed down, he asked, "Who is our benefactor? I would like to meet him in person."

"And who abducted my children?"

Jun Anyi hesitated, unsure how to respond. While she had a good guess it was Xinyuan, she couldn't confirm it.

She finally said, "We are still searching for the hero who saved your children. He may not be willing to reveal his identity. As for the terrorists who took your children, they have received the punishment they deserved."

After saying this, Jun Anyi moved closer to the man and whispered, "They have been sentenced to death, and it was carried out immediately."

Knowing that the man was likely consumed with hatred for those who took his children, she decided to say this to ease his heart.

The man, still in shock, looked at the door and said, "Terrorists, huh... I wonder how our benefactor managed to rescue my children. I hope he wasn't injured."

Hearing this, Jun Anyi's heart sank. Despite Xinyuan's talent, he was still a student. There was no way he wouldn't have been hurt in such a confrontation.

Realizing this, Jun Anyi's anxiety grew, and she quickly wrapped up her conversation with the man and turned to leave.

---

"Hey, what are you doing? Are you asleep? Do you want to play a game?"

Jun Anyi quickly sent a message to Xinyuan under her online identity, but it was already past 2 a.m., a time when normal online conversations wouldn't happen. She didn't get a response, so she hurried her pace.

---

"Ugh, honestly, it still hurts a bit," Xinyuan thought as he returned home. The entire building was dark, except for his own place. His combat suit was damaged beyond use, and his clothes were still wet from washing, so he was wrapped in a white towel, sitting on the sofa eating cherries.

He had numerous injuries, but none were serious. However, the pain seemed to intensify.

"Hmm, should my pain receptors be more sensitive?"

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Xinyuan tensed up and stood up. He didn't recognize anyone, and it was unusual for someone to visit him at this hour.

"Who is it? What's the matter at this time of night?"

"It's me, Jun Anyi," came the familiar female voice from outside.

Seeing it was indeed her, Xinyuan felt a bit more at ease, assuming she didn't mean any harm.

"Well… what's the matter? It's so late, and I'm not dressed."

"Hurry up and open the door. I have something to discuss with you." Jun Anyi's tone had a commanding edge, as if she would force her way in if he didn't open the door.

Xinyuan reluctantly opened the door a crack, exposing half his face. "I'm really not dressed. Is this something that has to be discussed now?"

As he looked at her tired face, Jun Anyi asked with a complex expression, "Did you do it?"

Xinyuan quickly shook his head. "No, no."

"But I haven't said what it is yet."

Xinyuan: …

"Let's not discuss this now. Let me in," Jun Anyi said, pulling at the door handle and attempting to enter.

But her action caused Xinyuan's shoulder injury to flare up, making him wince in pain.

Jun Anyi noticed Xinyuan's condition and frowned. "You're injured?"

"Oh, it's just a small issue."

Xinyuan was surprised by how forward and aggressive she was. He took a step back and tightened his towel around himself.

But then, Jun Anyi's next move nearly shocked him to his core.

She grabbed the towel and started to pull it off, her voice laced with urgency. "Don't move! Hurry up and take it off so I can see."

Xinyuan: ???

"What the hell! Are you drunk or something? What's this about?!"

"Don't call me 'big sister.' I've told you, we're about the same age."

Xinyuan: … "Is that the point here?!"

Jun Anyi frowned and continued to advance, closing the door behind her.

"Call for help if you want. I'm not joking. Let me see your wounds. Injuries from divine servants' blood can get worse if not treated promptly."

"You must be feeling more pain now, and it will get itchy soon. You don't know how to handle this, so don't delay."

Realizing the gravity of her words, Xinyuan calmed down. "Oh, is that so? In that case, it does hurt a bit."

Jun Anyi: …

She was exasperated by his non-serious attitude after the misunderstanding was cleared up.

"Come on, let me see!" Jun Anyi insisted.

"Please, don't, big brother!" Xinyuan blurted out.

Jun Anyi: …
