A wooden wagon pulled up in front of a towering building, its deep blue walls accented by shades of grey. A few narrow windows gleamed through the wagon's opening, hinting at the structure's vastness.
"We should have used a teleportation portal to get inside," Cynthia sighed, her gaze shifting to the dark green-haired man seated across from her. Lucian sat silently beside her, his expression unreadable.
"Atlas has limited range. The distance was too far for him to teleport us directly," Lucian replied, stepping out of the wagon. He extended a hand to Cynthia, who hesitated a moment before taking it.
"Wait here," Lucian instructed Atlas. The man bowed deeply, his figure retreating as the couple turned to face the large tower.
As usual, Atlas focused on sending the necessary letters for his work, preferring the solitude away from humans, whom he found difficult to interact with.
