She was in the woods again. But this time she was not alone, unlike the previous times. The grandmaster was there . She was not sure how she knew him but he was the grandmaster.
Dilly strained her eyes to see properly, it was too bright in there. He watched her closely not daring to take a step closer, she could see every muscle in his body tense, she wanted to ask him why but at that instance her mouth felt like it would not open. The atmosphere was calm and the birds whispered sweet melodies in her ears.
Dilly worried about the strange looking man sitting across her.
"I've never seen you here" she managed to say.
He smiled showing a set of extremely white teeth,"I'm the Grandmaster".
She nodded like she was expecting him to say that.
"Well I wish I was" he laughed. "I'm only but a messenger, but I'm the grandmaster's favorite"
He was beaming with so much pride.
She looked at him in awe. He wasn't the grandmaster but the grandmaster existed. She could not figure out how she knew but she just knew it. It felt strangely familiar.
His big blue eyes shone as he looked at her, "there are five powerful cities in the world beyond and I'll list them according to hierarchy ".
"The world beyond?" she thought
If anyone had told her there was a world asides the human world on earth , she would have argued flatly. But she had been dreaming about it. Could this be one of her numerous dreams ?
" These cities are powerful and they all work together for the well being and growth of the immortals…" he continued.
"we care about humans too….sometimes" he shrugged.
Her eyes were fixed on his sharp jawline and sexy lips as he spoke.
"These cities are Lebron, Iris, Lozandros... " he stopped and scrutinized her from head to toe.
Dilly suppressed a giggle because he was acting just like her chemistry professor would.
"Pasia and Latos" she said almost in a whisper.
He nodded in agreement with a wide grin. She smiled in spite of herself. How did she know that ?
"Are you ready Dilly? " he got up swiftly and began to stroll into the depths of the woods effortlessly.
She followed suit, "yes I am! ".
She was going to scream "ready for what?" but he moved too fast and he was doing it effortlessly. She ran after him as much as her legs could carry her.
"Messenger please slow down, I might go out of breath" she pleaded. He didn't tell her his name , so it just made sense to call him messenger.
They stopped when they got to the bank of the cleanest river Dilly had ever set her eyes on. The water was blue and sparkling.
Her jaw dropped in amazement. "I've never been to this part of the woods."
She turned back to look at the grandmaster's messenger and what she saw made her gasp. She opened her mouth but there was no sound.
Right before her eyes, he was transforming into what looked like an angel. His wings was a mixture of white and gold. Her heart raced at the transformation.
"Somebody help!!" She screamed internally.
Fear gripped her but her gaze was fixed on him not daring to blink or look away for she feared that he might flap those wings , fly away and leave her in the woods all by herself.
"We start by introducing you to the least in the hierarchy, city of the arch angels" his voice was firm and calm.
"Latos? " her eyes widened and suddenly everything became blurry.
Dilly forced her eyes open and jumped out of bed as someone knocked at the door. She was sweating profusely.
What happened to using the door bell? She just lay there and stared at the ceiling.
She had another dream about the woods. She sighed trying to figure it out, it does not make sense to her. The last time she spoke to her mom about her dreams or nightmares, she was dismissed like a little girl that didn't know what she was saying .
"Stop reading those horror books, read something more ladylike" her mom had said.
Apparently her mom has better things to do with her time than listen to her rant about weird dreams.
"but I have been reading fashion magazines for the past two weeks and i still have the same dream" she sighed heavily.
The knock came again, this time louder. She hesitated for a while.
"Mom is out of town for the weekend" she thought. And Ayana her best friend would never show up in her house very early on a Saturday morning , she had her karate training to attend. Who could be at the door?
"It's probably Mat" she yawned. Mat was her 'close friend' and confidant . Although they deny having feelings towards each other, they seem very close. The only person she truly liked or thought she liked was Hank but he's a married man. She shook the thought off her head.
"He's off limit Dilly" she reminded herself.
She sleepily walked to the door and opened secretly wishing it was Mat just so she could tell him about her dream again. She could not wait to tell him about the messenger.
"Your dreams are like movies, we can make a good comic story out of it " Matt would smile attempting to cheer her up.
"Good morning" she squinted at the figure before her. Thankfully her glasses was hanging on her neck. The glasses rope was a good idea after all. But too nerdy for a hot chick like her.
"Sorry to bother you ....I'm Ryan...your new neighbor " a very familiar voice spoke.
"I just need your help with some tools to fix my kitchen , I'm afraid I left mine at my old apartment".
"Hi Ryan" She said as she wore her glasses to clearly see the man standing before her.
Her heart missed a beat and almost dropped in her mouth.
"No way!!!" She screamed in her head.
Her body was urging her to run but she could not obey because her mind was all about passing out.
She could see him clearly. Standing in front of her was the grandmaster's messenger from her dream.
