"Good evening, and welcome to Channel One, where we report the latest stories to you. I'm Maksim Popov, and we've just received saddening news that at 15:15 GMT the Queen Mother has passed away at the age of one - hundred and one according to Buckingham Palace. Reportedly Queen Elizabeth was by her mother's side during her final moments. With the announcement of the Queen Mother's death members of the royal family quickly rushed to Windsor Castle." said Maksim in a somber tone.
Before continuing, Maksim coughed in order to redirect the viewers attention.
"In recent events, Russian troops successfully captured one - hundred twenty Chechen insurgents after marching into Grozny, and towns of Shali, Vedeno, Gudermes, and Nozhai-Yurtovsky. Katerina whose on the field can give us more." said Maksim as he introduced the female news reporter.
As the viewers screens switched from the inside of a new station to the outskirts of a rough farming village. A fair toned woman with blonde hair that ended just below her ears and was adorned with a vest and helmet that labeled "PRESS", spoke into her microphone.
"Thank you, Popov. Roughly eight days ago, Russian ground forces conducted a sweeping operation of a radius of one - hundred kilometers from the city of Grozny in search of pocketed resistances. If you were to look down the road you could see Chechen prisoners being escorted on both sides by soldiers."
The camera changed its view from the female news reporter to the disheveled appearances of the Chechen rebels. Walking along the muddied road, some lacked the energy to move on as they were constantly perused by the Russians the past week and ended up dropping to the ground for a moments rest.
However, they were soon forced up by the armed escorts equipped in Flora camouflage and armed with AEK - 971s, while being verbally abused.
Seeing this, the camera man quickly shifted the audience's view towards the female news anchor. Katerina quickly ended her report with a few final details before smiling and saying "Back to you, Popov".
Returning back to the news station, the audience's view once again laid on Maksim.
Realizing that he was now at the center of attention again, Maksim readjusted his posture while he quickly introduced the next topic.
"Thank you for the report, Katerina." Maksim took a pause, before he continued to look at the camera.
"Concerning news can be seen as a pharmaceutical company by the name National Anatomical Restoration or better known as N.A.R. have been facing immense backlash in many major cities around the globe. Once acclaimed as proponents of humanity for being able to heal a multitude of cancers, prevention of neurological diseases and other once fatal terminal illness through a simple shot in the arm at the doctors office; now has the very same people ending in the emergency room leaving healthcare workers in a daze." reported Maksim.
As Maksim finished speaking, the screen switched to an interview with the Chief physician of the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow.
Boris Yeltsin, not to be confused with former president Boris Yeltsin, is the Chief physician of one of the most prestigious hospitals in Russia. At the age of fifty - eight, Boris alongside his staff were at a standstill on how to treat the continued growing of patients despite their many years of experience.
The interviewer a bald middle-aged man initiated the conversation
"So, Doctor Yeltsin what seems to be the main problem when patients come in?" questioned the man
Taking a pause to collect his thoughts and rearrange them into words, Boris answered.
"Our first patient, who i'll name as "Patient A" for respect of the person's identity, reported intense abdominal pain and a severe headache. And as you know, we must first question the patient of when the symptoms first occurred and so fourth, so we can form a general understanding of the situation. "Patient A" reported that he felt a slight discomfort in his right lumbar region." said Boris as he pointed towards his middle - right abdomen.
Continuing his prior answer Boris said.
"The patient felt the discomfort shortly after he received an injection from N.A.R., howeve-" before he was able to continue, the interviewer sharply interjected his own ideas.
"So, you're saying that the injections offered by N.A.R. have a direct link as to why people are hospitalized around the world?" questioned the man as he held his notepad and pen, ready to write whatever Boris was about to say.
Waving his hand, Boris quickly denied the accusations.
"No, no, no, you misunderstood me. Although it is possible that there could be some correlations found between the current state of "Patient A" and the injections offered by the N.A.R., there is no conclusive evidence done to suggest so." refuted Boris.
As the interview continued between Boris and the middle aged man, a TV commercial break occurred.
-------
Meanwhile, in major cities such as Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kursk and Novosibirsk people could be seen marching across the street. Armed with nothing but signs with slogans such as "OUT WITH THE N.A.R." and "PROGRESS? I DIGRESS", people marched to buildings that the N.A.R. owned.
The mass demonstrations not only occurred in Russia, but in neighboring European countries, Asia, Oceania, The America's and Africa as well.
Many were outraged and even a little afraid of what N.A.R. placed inside those injections, which have caused mass hospitalization around the world. This led to people of all walks of life - young or old, poor or rich - to demand answers.
As the people continued to march towards N.A.R. owned buildings, police officers armed in black riot gear, batons and tear gas canisters confronted the horde of approaching people.
"HALT! I DEMAND YOU ALL TO DISPERSE. THIS IS AN UNLAWFUL GATHERING, IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY YOU WILL BE ARRESTED" shouted a police officer through a megaphone.
The march stalled shortly before the people continued to march again, undeterred by the threats made by the police. Some demonstrators as a way to raise morale began to sing or say chants as they continued to walk forward.
Seeing this, the police officer whistled to his men, a signal to gather in formation.
As per their training, the police officers adorned in riot gear quickly formed a skirmish formation. Which was a horizontal line of police officers with riot shields and batons at the front, followed by officers equipped with riot guns, then by team leaders who issued orders, ended by the arrest team in the rear.
In a last ditch effort to persuade the crowd to disperse, the officer once again shouted into the megaphone.
"THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING. IF YOU DO NOT DISPERSE, EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE MOVEMENT WILL BE ARRESTED AND SUBJECTED TO CRIMINAL CHARGES."
However the crowd was unresponsive to his warning.
Pulling down his visor, the police officer said a short prayer before readying himself against the nearly thirty - thousand gathering of protesters.
