Selene's POV:
Today, I saw my beloved.To be exact, I saw the lover whom I had lost.
The man standing before me was no longer the Dexter who loved me.
He was merely an empty shell of his former self.
First, it was my brother who had gotten amnesia.
Now, it was my mate.
What on earth had I done to deserve such an awful fate? I followed Daniel back to the banquet and took my seat.
I felt like a zombie as if my soul had been sucked out of my body.
I was in no longer in the mood to attend the banquet.
Daniel poured me a glass of water and asked, "Are you okay, Selene?"
I nodded halfheartedly.
"Cheer up.Nothing can truly separate you and Mr.Sterling.Caroline will not get what she wants.He belongs to you so he will come back to you sooner or later."
I could tell that Daniel was worried that I would fall into a depression and was trying his best to comfort me.
