After the dinner, Siroos told his men to rest while he decided to keep the first watch.
"We will camp here for the night. At dawn, we will set out again."
His men nodded, getting up and putting out the fire. The night wasn't cold enough for the fire to be needed.
"Come, I will escort you to the carriage." Siroos dusted his hands, removing the remaining crumbs. She had gotten up from the stone and he guided her back, remaining at a distance.
Opening the carriage door, he let her step inside. She gathered her dress at the sides and climbed into the khaki-painted vehicle which had four robust black steeds pushing it. The animals were gigantic beasts with glistening manes and well-defined bodies.
Cassandra turned to face Siroos, but before she could say anything, he quipped holding the door.
