Hearing the plea of Wila's mother, Cassandra made a promise to her. She then approached Haylia. Although she no longer spoke to the older woman, Cassandra knew this was not the time to hold grudges. They needed to work together in this difficult time.
"Vera Haylia, I need you to take up the responsibility of being in charge. I am going outside to look for Wila. He is missing," Cassandra told her mother-in-law in a dead serious tone.
Haylia, who was handling an older lady, settled her down, straightened up and gave Cassandra a horrified look.
"Luna, that's not your job. A warrior will get to him. You can't go out there in a storm with Sikalas on the loose."
Cassandra shook her head, rather stubbornly.
"Warriors are busy and we only have Ames here in case anything comes our way. As their Luna, it is my duty to keep everyone safe. That boy must have gotten lost in the storm, he will be scared. I am going after him."
