From far, the convoy of Myung Yu slowly walked along the path towards the North Kingdom. Everyone looked tired after a long journey. There were no pit stop along the road to reach the North Kingdom, so they had been holding up energy while fighting the cold weather as well.
"How far more?" asked Uk to the eunuch. He was riding his horse slowly, with a thick maroon coat on his body.
"We are reaching the kingdom in no time, Gisa Ahn..." the man replied to Uk. The bodyguard nodded as he pulled the strap of his horse to make it slow down a bit so he could catch up with Myung Yu's palaquin.
"Gongju jaga..." Uk's soft voice pierced softly through the gap of the window. Slowly, it was swing opened, revealed Myung Yu, with her black leather coat and hoodie.
"Yes, Gisa Ahn?" the princess asked. Her lips turned blue and his glass skin shimmered under the limited amount of sunshine.
"We're almost there," Uk talked to her politely. Myung nodded, as she pulled her gloves and donned them.
"Head palaquin!" she used her deep but audible voice to call the man. Later, a sturdy man approached her with care.
"Gongju jaga..."
"Stop the palaquin and prepare my horse..."
"But, gongju..."
Myung Yu glared at him with her sharp gaze. Immediately, the man bowed down and scooted back slowly, leaving the palaquin before it stopped gradually.
Myung Yi stepped out of the palaquin. She took a glance at her convoy. Soon, the head palaquin came with a horse. It was bronze in color, with its hair in black.
"Your horse, gongju..." Myung Yu softly took the strap from the man. Uk, who paused a bit after realizing that the convoy goy stopped out of blue, turned around to see the princess was already on her horse.
"Gongju? Are you sure you want to ride a horse by yourself until we reach there?" Uk looked at her in disbelief. The princess smiled as she controlled her horse like a pro.
"I used to ride a horse whenever I'm almost reach the main gate. We even had a race; me, seja jeoha and orabeonim..." Myung Yu glanced at Uk.
"Are you ready for a race, Gisa Ahn?" she asked, while smirking at Uk. Even before he could answer her, Myung Yu sped up her horse and left the bodyguard hanging his jaw open in shock.
Myung Yu rode her horse like a lighting speed towards the main gate of The North Kingdom's palace with might. She smiled as she saw the high tall metal door slowly opened, indicated that the guards were already acknowledge her arrival beforehand.
While she rode inside, suddenly, she saw a glimpse, crossing the road out of blue, making her halted the horse in shock. A loud shriek noise could be heard serenade the area as people surround her scream in panic. Myung Yu calmly controlled her horse, like a experience rider she is.
A small boy, somewhere around eight years old was stumble on the dirt road, slowly lifted his head and took a glance at Myung Yu. She stared at the boy while still handling her horse to calm him down. Myung Yu frowned when she looked at the attire that the boy wore. She's familiar with it, but to see him at the spot seemed out of place.
"Wangja Agissi!"
A lady ran towards the boy, helping him stood up before she brushed off dirt from him. The lady attentively checked his wellbeing, face full of worries. A group of people rushing from the same spot as she emerged, looking scared and horrified.
"Did you hurt yourself, wangja?" the lady asked him politely with a worried voice.
"Get your hands away from me!" the boy slapped away her hands, making Myung Yu winced in annoyance.
"Yarh, you shouldn't talk like that to her..."
Myung Yu hopped down from her horse, and walked straight to them. She stared at the boy with her eerie gaze, making him shaking and startled a bit. The princess didn't even raised up her voice, but her charismatic persona and savageness truly gave impact to the boy.
"So, this is Wangja Mu. I thought you're a nice wangja..." Myung Yu glared at the prince. He gave Myung Yu a look before nodded his head a bit.
"I am Wangja Mu, The Eldest Prince of Seja Mushim," the boy introduced himself properly, even though he wasn't keen of Myung Yu sudden appearance.
Myung Yu glared at the lady. Her sharp gaze made the lady bowed down her head. Her brows drop down in curves, while her lips rattled a bit.
"Explain to me..." Myung Yu titled her head a bit. " Why is a bride- to- be wander around loose like this? Does she had a wedding preparation to do?" the princess asked.
The lady lifted her head, looking at Myung Yu, who already drew a smile on her face. She immediately slammed herself against Myung Yu and let a sob escaped from her thin lips.
"Gongju!"
Myung Yu patted her shoulder a bit before pulled away the body from her. She wipes the tears from the lady's face as she nodded with a dear look.
"You shouldn't be wandering like this, sejabin. It's dangerous!" said Myung Yu. The lady, instead of answering to her, shifting her gaze upon Mu. The young prince huffed in frustration.
"Is everything alright?"
Uk appeared out of nowhere with his horse. He was chasing the princess behind, before he halted midway when he saw the brown horse was leisurely wander around at the front main gate with no sight of Myung Yu.
"Everything is fine. Come Gisa Ahn, let me introduce you to everyone..." Myung Yu waved her hand, callinh for the man. Uk slowly dismounted from his horse and walked towards Myung Yu.
"This is Gisa Ahn. He works with orabeonim as a private bodyguard. Gisa Ahn, this is Wangja Agissi Mu, the eldest prince of Seja Mushim. And this..." Myung Yu softly put her hand around the lady's shoulder. "This is my cousin, Sejabin Hwa Sa... The bride-to-be."
"Greetings, sejabin..." Uk gave Hwa Sa a deep bow.
"Please... Not sejabin. Not yet..." Hwa Sa quickly rephrase the title. She looked at Myung Yu with her brows entwine together. Uk lifted his head and stood straight.
"It's me who you should bow! I am wangja of jeoha mama!" Mu suddenly calling for attractions, making Uk tilted his head to take a look at the young prince. Without being in fancy thoughts, Uk slowly bowed at Mu.
"See! That's how you suppose to treat me! Not nagging at me all the time!" Mu's sudden action of scolding Hwa Sa made Uk taken aback as he looked at Myung Yu with puzzling mind. The princess took a deep breath as she turned around at gaze at Mu, making the prince chickened out again.
"Gisa Ahn is a noble man. He was just greeting you out of generousity! He's being polite, though he doesn't know you. That's how you suppose to treat others– by being respectful! Especially to Sejabin Hwa Sa!" Myung Yu decided to teach Mu a lesson.
"She's not sejabin! She's not married to jeoha mama yet! And she will never be sejabin to me! She will never be my oemeoni!"
"Wangja agissi–!"
"Head eunuch, take wangja agissi back to the palace, please..." Hwa Sa quickly cut the heated conversation between Myung Yu and Mu before it got intense. The old man in black robe quickly ushered Mu away from the spot and lead him back to the palace.
Myung Yu stared at Hwa Sa. The lady gave her a faint smile as she quickly shifted her gaze towards Myung Yu's convoy which just arrived at the front gate.
"Guards, lead the convoy back to my house. They must be tired after a long journey..." said Hwa Sa with a tiring voice. As she was about to walk away, Myung Yu grabbed her hand and turned her body around.
However, instead of halting, Hwa Sa softly smiled as she pushed Myung Yu's hand away before she went back to the previous group of people towards the main palace.
"I'll see you later, cousin..." she said, without even care to turn around before leaving Myung Yu and Uk all by themselves at the spot.
"She's the bride?" asked Uk.
"Yes. She's the bride..." Myung Yu's response seemed stuck in her throat as she sent Hwa Sa with a worry in her face.
