One of the gangsters, a burly man with a shaved head, managed to close the distance, slamming into me only to almost get knocked off his feet, after a moment of confusion about why did It felt like he rammed a wall he swung a knife at me, aiming for the gaps in my neck.
"F*cker!"
He growled, his face twisted with rage.
I caught his wrist, twisting it until I heard the satisfying snap of bones breaking. He screamed, dropping the knife which I caught and sunk Into his neck and twisted causing the man to collapse onto his knees as he tried to stop the bleeding with his hands while choking on his own blood.,
Another thug rushed at me from the side, swinging a length of chain. I ducked under the swing, driving my fist into his gut. He doubled over, and I brought my knee up into his face, sending him sprawling to the ground with a caved In face.
Airid was engaged in a melee with two gangsters, his massive frame compared to the thugs a whirlwind of violence. He grabbed one by the throat, lifting him off the ground and slamming him into the pavement causing the back of his skull to crack open like an egg.
The other tried to stab him with a broken bottle, but Airid caught his arm and twisted, the bottle falling from his grasp.
"Cute"
Airid sneered, headbutting the man and sending him crashing into a parked car with a cracked open skull.
Darius, meanwhile, was locked in a struggle with a particularly large gangster. They grappled, the thug trying to bring a knife to bear at least he thought he was but Darius was just playing with him after getting bored he disarmed him effortlessly, then twisted the man's arm behind his back and drove him face-first into the ground several times until his noses bone pierced his brain.
"Is that all you can do big guy?"
Darius chuckled, his voice cold.
Julian, always the precise one, was systematically taking down anyone who tried to flank us. His movements were fluid and controlled, each strike and shot placed with deadly accuracy.
"Clear on this side!"
Julian called out, his eyes scanning the area for any remaining threats.
Brother Dragon, seeing his men decimated, tried to crawl away, his eyes wild with fear. "Please! I didn't mean it! Spare me!"
He begged.
Ignoring his pleas, I grabbed him by his face and slammed him against a van. His head hit the metal with a sickening thud, but I didn't stop.
"You think you can try to force my woman to become a w*ore and get away with it?"
I growled because I was truly pissed right now without me knowing black blood vessels crawled up to my eyes turning my scleras pitch black as I continued bashing his skull into the van again and again. Blood splattered, his cries growing weaker with each impact.
The onlookers were in shock, their smartphones capturing the brutal scene.
"This, this is too cruel!"
One of them whispered as he looked away unable to hold his stomach's contents.
"They deserve it,"
Another said, nodding in approval.
With one final, forceful bash, Brother Dragon's skull cracked open, his body going limp. I let him drop to the ground, my eyes cold and unforgiving.
As I looked at the pool of blood enlarging under brother dragons twitching corpse once again a thirst that couldn't be quenched by water assaulted my mind.
Just as I was about to literally take a knee a have a taste Lilith's concerned voice finally registered In my mind.
Sir please get ahold of yourself, I am Increasing the biomechanical cells suppresents dosage as we speak!
Urgh, got It Lil, thanks and also we will need to have a talk about whatever the f*ck i happening to me...
I answered In my mind making a mental note to myself to get to the bottom of this nonsense as I focused my returning to normal eyes on the man who had orchestrated the attack on Hope who stood frozen, his face pale.
"Please... don't,"
He stammered, backing away.
I raised my rifle, aiming directly at the junction between his groin and thigh.
"I'll give you a chance either someone stops the bleeding for you In time or you die good luck"
I said In my usual emotionless voice while pulling the trigger. The bullet tore through his clothes, skin, flesh an artery, the man screamed in agony as he collapsed.
Blood poured from the wound, his life draining away and It was safe to say that he was a deadman after all if one's artery got torn open then one had, give or take 50 seconds to apply a tourniquet or stop the bleeding before he bleeds to death.
As the last of the gang members fell, the scene grew eerily quiet. My battle brothers and I stood amidst the carnage, our breaths steady as we surveyed the aftermath. The onlookers, still broadcasting live, were in awe.
"Who are these guys?"
One whispered.
"I bet a hundred bucks they are augmented soldiers"
Another said, his voice filled with reverence.
Hope walked over, her expression unreadable.
"Sigh* And Im the one who will have to clean up after you though I did tell you to kill them"
She said, looking at the bodies scattered around us.
"Well youre the boss aren't you"
I replied, wiping blood from my hands.
"It comes with the job"
Hearing this Hope looked around and after seeing that there were witnesses she pulled out her smartphone and ordered little Lilith to call the police.
"Yes hello this is W*nghai police station how can I help you?"
The officer on the other line asked as she did Hope couldn't help but bite her lip as she surveyed the scene once again not sure how to explain It to the police officer.
"There's been a fight please send someone over"
Hope finally said.
"A fight? How big? Are there any Injured or dead?'
The startled police officer asked.
"There are about a hundred dead gangsters on the W*nghais universities parking lots ground"
Hope finally broke the news with a straight voice as she did the other side fell silent for a good couple of seconds.
"Miss please stay there and don't leave the scene, the police officers and ambulances are on the way..."
Finally, the agitated voice of the young police officer came out from Hope's smartphone, hearing this Hope ended the call while letting out a frustrated sigh.
...
A few minutes later.
The scene was chaotic as police cars and ambulances arrived, sirens blaring. The red and blue lights illuminated the aftermath of the battle.
Police officers and paramedics quickly exited their vehicles, moving towards the carnage with a mix of urgency and trepidation.
The first responders tried to assess the situation, checking for any survivors among the fallen gang members.
They found a few men still clinging to life, their breaths ragged and shallow, but despite their best efforts, the paramedics couldn't save them. The brutality of the wounds was too severe.
While the police officers pulled out their guns and pointed them at us.
"Put youre weapons on the ground and kneel down with youre hands behind youre heads!"
The officers shouted as they did my battle brothers looked at me for orders, seeing this I clicked my tongue In annoyance.
"Do as they say"
I barked setting an example by slowly placing my rifle on the ground, kneeling down, and placing my hands behind my head as I did my battlebrothers did the same.
